I think you'll find its a fashion thing...........a look doesnt equate to BEING, its just a look.................................short skirts, high heels, tight tops, bare bellies.....etc.............no big deal.....................at all....!

Am afraid........you got it in one...gals are attracted to risk takers/alpha male types....usually money backing it up.................money can certainly BUY love...but maybe not the type you think........this was sent to me by a mate once...........................sorry to say its...very....very true...............

Money does not buy love of the owner. Money buys love of money.

Unfortunately, a woman who does behave that way is naive to think she will not be assumed to actually be that way.

I'm saying this in a non-bitter way, but one thing that I do find funny is the way that some women find a certain sort of behaviour attractive, in terms of confidence etc and then also complain about "men are !!!!!!!s" when this is just another part of what they originally found attractive.

Well he is right about some women and even my female friends would happily testify to that. It also happens these are the women who are most visible so it is bound to bias opinions.

I am disgusted that men in this day and age would use that word to describe any woman. I can only hope that you are young lads who have a lot of growing up to do.

excuse me? i didnt say all women were sluts?!!! i said those who dress, with skirts like belts, breasts hanging out etc... those type, clubby lassies, look like sluts and in actual fact did not say ARE but LOOK like :)

and fyi - i have alot of respect for women, since you do not know me, do not pass judgements on me

How often do you go clubbing? Most of the girls dress like that. Hell, I would dress like that if I had the figure. It is just what you wear when you are young and go clubbing.

you get girls who dress in their underwear to go out and you get guys who think they have to right to put their hands wherever they want regardless of what a girl's wearing........... i've experienced both, but everyone doesn't interpret things in the same way.........if i choose to wear a low cut top (admitedly i wouldn't go with a short skirt as well!!) it in no way means that i will sleep with any guy i meet!! although some things don't look classy, i think judging personality on looks is bad in ALL situations!

back to the OPs comments - if you want the kind of girl that goes for money, then i'd say you're looking for the wrong thing! there's also nothing more off-putting that i guy who really looks like they're looking for someone/anyone! i used to live with someone who kept telling me 'what women want' and it drive me nuts! i don't want someone flashy and abnoxious and i found it really offensive that he couldn't see past his personally acquired stereotype to notice the individual! you just need to be careful how you phrase things because most 'nice' girls will go mad if you suggest that they are shallow and money-grabbing!

if you're still a student then i wouldn't worry - you don't have to find the love of your love in your university, there's a whole lifetime for that. enjoy your own company as someone who's single and then when someone comes along it's a bonus - but it shouldn't be the focus (that's my 2 penny's worth!)

I am afraid not and you missed the part where i stated many of my female friends would use the same description. I think perhaps it is you who has some growing to do to realise this is simply the perception of anyone behaving in that manner. You might not like it, but all too often it is true and that just goes to make people believe it more.

The men acting this way is of course no better... but if you take note, the men do not do this anywhere near as much to a woman who is not dressed in 'underwear'. The simple reason is that the perception of women dressed in almost nothing is that they are much more likely to respond to that male attention. So this just goes to support some of the earlier views... a woman dressed and revealing all WILL be assumed to be of lower morals. It doesnt matter if that is not the case, it is what will be assumed by many.

Any woman has the right to wear whatever she wants and not be called a !!!!!!. I think feminism was just a dream and I have woken up in 1953 judging by some of the attitudes on this thread!

but only by certain people who make unfair generalisations!

i agree that a lot of people think like that, but i think the solution should be that men are taught NOT to think like that, rather than women having to change the way they dress. assuming knowledge of a person's 'moral' behaviour (judged again against their own personal set of criteria from their own personal stereotypes) from their dress rather than the way they act is always going to classify a lot of people in an inappropriate way.

as it happens, i think there are a lot of men who assume the right to feel women up - from pinching bums on the way to the bar to full on groping. and they're wrong to do so - just accepting that they act like idiots seems to be a completely daft way to deal with the situation.

i will wear what i like and anyone who chooses to pass judgement without knowing me and literally just go jump, because people that narrow minded and prejudiced are not people whose opinions deserve to be considered. no-one would dare say things like 'all white people/black people/asian people' etc etc, and i see saying anything about 'all girls in short skirts' as equally offensive - an opinion based on no information apart from prejudice :D (i never knew i was this much of a flag-waving feminist!!)
