jellybaby - hope you are ok, please take it easy as whiplash can get worse before it gets better IYKWIM!
Well I've had another lovely day at work. it was my colleague's team of young people's last day today, and they do a big presentation. So everyone was in a good mood this morning. I did some paperwork and then we headed to the presentation. It was very good and there was a good audience, including some players from the local rugby team, so I enjoyed flirting with them!it was all over by 3, and cos the weather was so nice my boss told us to take the rest of the day off :j so finished 90mins early
I went shopping for holiday stuff and then met the girls for early dinner.
Absolutely no OS today here
Have a good evening all

Good news from Diva :j:j
I have not long ago heard that the op this morning went well and she has been on fluids and oxygen since then. The fluid drip will be down soon though and providing that she promises to go to bed for 24 hours she can go home tomorrow lunchtime :T She did say that she was going even if her OH had to push her out in the bed :rotfl::rotfl:
I shall look forward to logging on tomorrow to welcome her back :A
A lovely day here anyway it's been sooo warm although it went quite chilly once the sun had set. I can cope with that though as long as it stays dry!
Hope that everyone is having a good evening xxx0 -

I've just watched Ashes To Ashes, such a fantastic programme, the 'Uptown Girl' bit was hilarious! I do admit to having a soft spot for Gene Hunt

Very late on parade today, but I had my pal June here, and we were working all day sorting out my vinyl record collection. I have a chap coming on Sunday to give me a price for them all.I have decided that as I no longer play them anymore its time they went.I did cut right down on the collection about 15 years ago when I moved into a smaller house it went from around 5000 to about 400 odd.Lots of good memories there collected over the past 50 years but if I don't find a good home for them it would only upset my two DD's when eventually they would have to get rid of them after I have 'shuffled off this mortal coil'
So its best if I do it now.
Managed to sort out my dodgy Thermos that I had bought from The Range last year.It worked fine during our holiday last year and I got it out to use last Tuesday when I went to the Science Museum and found that after filling it up at 7.30.a.m. by 12.00 lunchtime it was stone cold .No idea what was wrong with it (the outside got very warm as well) took it back to the shop where I bought it from and they said if I could find the receipt or c/card statement they would change it for me, I searched through my records and found c/card statement giving the date I bought it and went beck to the shop this afternoon, and well done to The Range:beer: they did exchange it for me
It was a s/steel Thermos one as well and at £15.00 it was a bit too pricey to just bin.So at least I hopefully now have one that will work next week when I go away. My pal and I went to see 'Shutter Island' last night , very good film, and better than I thought it would be. Leonardo Di Caprio seems to have improved with age as an actor, bet film I have seen him in I thought.
Great news about MSD hope she is soon back online again and feeling better.
Have got the Chelsea Football club badge knitted on a white background for the middle of my DGS Jack's (10) new 'cosy' I shall knit blue and white alternate squares to sew around it over the next few weeks. Its part of his Christmas present as his original knitted 'cosy blanket' that I made for him when he was tiny has been worn away with lots of cuddles. He is the only Chelsea fan in his family his two brothers and dad are Liverpool supporters so I thought a new 'blankey' would make him feel a little less outnumbered.I also have a dog coat to make for my DDs little pup 'Lexi' as she feels the cold when she is out she is a miniature Jack Russell.
Well time I toddled of to bed .Hope everyone has had a good day
goodnight God bless all here
JackieO xx0
