    Afternoon all,
Have been washing doors in preparation to painting...I hate painting...but am amazed at the amount of smoke that has come off...thank hheavens nobody smokes here anymore!

Few bits to do in town to-day, OH is going to cut the grass when I am gone...you would think it was 1000 acres by the amount of preparation needed, instead of about a quarter acre.

Dinner today is going to be chicken with something, not sure what yet...need to go to Lidl to get butter so will see what inspiration hits with whatever veg they have....seem to fancy carrots, parsnips etc less and less, have a taste for exotic aka expensive...will see.

DD4 can't find her hammer so have to drop one off to her, need to put some moneyu in credit union savings...not going as regularly as I used to, find owing money is a great incentive to visit CU means I save more too.

Noot up to snuff on what's happening with Diva..whoever is in touch with her pass on my love please.

If i manage to get my new monitor and get it up and running be back later, otherwise hugs to all.

Afternoon everyone...........((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need one.

Late posting today, we were late waking up and so the morning got off to a bad start, Friday clean done except the boot room which I will be tackling shortly, just the floor to do. Plants are all outside to harden off, will bring them in after supper.

A nice morning, I have a load of whites out drying, have taken down the net from the front window, its waiting to go out on the line too.

OH spent the morning digging out mint from the bed we are going to plant herbs in, Like most of the garden it was planted and then just left so it has spread like a weed......mosy of it has been dug out. I never plant mint in the ground, but put them in a big pot and re-pot them on as needed. The garden is beginning to look better, we have a small piece in the front to dig before tackling the hug bed of red hot pokers. A short stretch in the back down the side and we have done that too. The grass has been cut in the back, the front may get done tomorrow, we will have to cut round the daffodils growing through the grass.

No plans for this afternoon except the boot room, we have a couple of programmes we recorded, so might watch them.

Snoozer I would be worried as well. How hard is it having children. I thought it was hard when they were all small but at least you can tuck them up in bed and know they are safe.

Well, just back from shopping at Mr T's. I am making a very berry cheesecake to take to my mums in Yorkshire tomorrow as we are over there for lunch. Its from the WW mag so shouldn't be too naughty.:A

    Jellybabe Hugs that sounds awful

Hi all! Just popped on to say that we’ve had an offer accepted on a house! We’re very excited! Just need to start packing…

Here’s the recipe for Apple and Cinnamon Lollipups that people were asking for. It’s from a brilliant book called “Pupcakes” by Stephanie Mehanna:

    2 apples, chopped
    50ml water (approx)
500g wheat / gluten free flour
2 eggs, beaten (plus extra to glaze)
    150ml olive oil
    50g Wheat Germ
    4 tablespoons honey
    1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
    10-15 rawhide chews

    For the frosting:
    125g low fat cream cheese
    4 tablespoons olive oil
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    • Puree the apples with the water. Mix with the flour, eggs, oil, wheatgerm, honey and cinnamon. Add a little more water if dough is dry.
    • Knead the dough. Roll out to 5mm thick. Cut out using a paw-shaped cutter (or just use a regular cutter!). You need an even number of disks. Brush each cookie with beaten egg and sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired. Place one cookie on top of another (eggy sides together). Pinch edges together.
    • Place on a greased baking sheet and bake 150C / Gas 2 for 15-20 minutes.
    • Make a 1cm incision between the 2 cookie layers and insert 1/3 of the length of a rawhide stick. Wrap the exposed rawhide in tinfoil. Repeat until all cookies have sticks. Return to the oven, but turn the oven OFF. Allow to harden for 1-2 hours (I have no idea if this will work with my fan oven!)
    • For the frosting, mix all ingredients together and beat until fluffy. Spread over cookies. The book also suggests melting carob (or doggie choc drops) and piping the pads of the paw. Not sure if I’ll go to all that much effort – Puppy-Dog will like them any which way!

Have had quite a busy but peaceful day with DS. Went to the local small museum early this morning before it got busy ( Weston park for any south yorks bods:D) and then had an ice cream in the park. Came home and had lunch, then went to Cats shelter where DS had a fab time cuddling and playing with the cats, we could only go in one room as there is an infection going on but there were 6 lovely cats in there. Really wanted to bring a one home who was 12 with half his fur missing from an old flea allergy:(:o.
Am tired as DS not sleeping at all at mo:eek:. OH working late so I will have anchovy and parsley spaghetti as he hates anchovies so gives me a chance to eat them when he isnt here:rotfl:. DS will have tuna pasta.
Need to make some bread now and tidy round.....again:cool:.
Celyn that cake is fab:T...I am great at cake making but my icing never looks like I imagined it would:o
For our wedding I am thinking of having a tower of French Fancies with a bigger fancie on the top:j but not sure if it will look naff:think:
Julie does your DD know why he doesnt want to be married....is he not sure about her or is it marriage in general that is putting him off?
SG let us know if you hear anything from MSD.....I do hope it is all going ok for her poor love.
I think DS and I will snuggle up together and watch tv in the big bed later seems as he isnt sleeping anyway:rotfl:
well off to clean the cats tray.....oh joys_pale_
