As the title suggests i dream about being debt free one day. A little bit about myself im 24 and have debts of about £14,000, will get definate figure soon. Most of this is car finance but i would like to save up to be able to pay this off in one lump sum as this includes negative equity in my last car  At 18 i got quite a few credit cards, this is down to 2 but 6 years later is annoying.
Last October i got refused a mortgage, was such a shock as i thought i had a good credit score not even giving a second thought to having too much credit at about £18,000. Thats when i got hooked on MSE. After reading other peoples diarys for some months i thought it would be a good idea to start one mysel :rotfl:

Hi Laura - good luck! I'll be subscribing to your diary to see how you get on!
I'm 24 too, and we had massive debts, but they are nearly gone. It won't be too long before you are debt free too. I see you have already paid off £1500 this year. keep up the good work! xPaying down the mortgage:

Morning, thanks everyone
Urgh had the worst sleep last night, too busy thinking about MSE haha
So done a quick calculation debt now stands at £13,432. At LBM £15,024 although had been alot worse than this. I will work out a debt free date with the snowball calculator but if i dont repay my car finance this still has 40 months  stupid car, somthimes feel like just getting rid of it but it is already a downgrade from the last one that i just couldn't afford.
My week will start from Friday as i get paid weekly, aims for this week- [STRIKE]withdraw £30 to last the week, what ever isnt spend will go towards holiday spending money. Dont know how likely it will be not to spend £30 but i will try. I am also going to record where each penny has been spent.[/STRIKE] £2.99 left, quite pleased with myself
- [STRIKE]List more items on E-Bay, re-listed 9 last night but must find more. Didn't list any, only sold 2 so will put everything on amazon[/STRIKE]
- Take a dress back so thats £30 to go into savings Doing at weekend
- [STRIKE]Do a small grocery shop on Sunday for dinners during the week[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Try to have 3-4 NSD. When at work this is pretty easy Has 3, so not too bad[/STRIKE]
- Have been paid £70 that i was owed so that will be transfered to savings too, hmmm or to pay it off a CC. I'll have to have a think about that one
Hope to have a nice cheap weekendTesco CC 1300/461.93/838.07Mini HP 13000.62/5813.62/71870 -
So according to SOA i should have £400 surplus to throw at the CC. This just doesnt happen. Think i need to start a spending diary. I will check march bank statement and probably find most on there. I rarely have cash always use cards maybe this is where im going wrong.Tesco CC 1300/461.93/838.07Mini HP 13000.62/5813.62/71870

Wow its so nice out there, was a bit chilly at 7 this morning. I decided to go to bootcamp this morning. It was free at it was the first time but 7.30am isn't ideal. It was great though, cant believe how unfit i am. Was probably the youngest there but definetly the unfitest. I dont really want to loose weight just tone up for a holiday in July, ok maybe just a few lbs
Milk cost me £1 last night so thats £26.40 left. OH will probably eat up most of that.
Sausages are defrosting for sausage casserole tonight
