Lidl Bifinett breadmaker - any recipes that work?

Hallo to everyone,
I have been thinking about getting a Bread Maker for a while now and then yesterday I picked up a Bifinett KH2232 (with big tin and 2 paddles) in my local charity shop for euro10!
I have a O'Neills Irish Wheaten Bread Mix (1kg makes 3 loaves), just add milk. It does not contain any yeast, just baking power, I think.
What setting should I use and what colour settings?
Any help would be really great - I am feeling quite nervous about it now. The kitchen worktops are nearly filled up, so it might have to live in the shed.

I've got this model of breadmaker too.
I've made mortom Irish wheaten bread mix in mine.
I mix it with buttermilk in a bowl first & put in breamaker for 1 hour at the bake programme.

I will try this out this morning, Jinnywren, as yesterdays alternative effort with flour, yeast, water, salt and sugar was very doughy and not cooked in the middle. It did rise though and looked quite good - on Prog. 5.
I will report later and thanks for your advice.0 -
We have the same bread maker, also from lidls Bifinett KH2232. We have only really used it recently for Pizza dough - but I wanted to make a loaf but can't find the book with the recepie for a normal white loaf.
Would someone be kind enough to type it in a reply in this thread please?
Thanks.0 -
You can download and print the instruction manual off from the website. Thats what I had to do as I got my Bifinett Breadmaker off a Freecycler. I am looking for the measuring devices on line to buy them as she didn't give me any.0

Hi Kevb811
Yes there is. That is where I get mine from. It's a bit late, or should I say early now. What I will do for you, I will get you the website, as it isn't called Bifinett site, it's called something else and I just can't remember what it is called. It is on my breadmaker and should really be written on yours. If the instructions with recipes are not there, I will photocopy mine for you.

Hi I have been using this machine for some years now and have never had a failure.
In fact I came upon this site while looking for a replacement bucket as mine is losing the non stick coating in places. This is not a fault in the machine, but is because I use sunflower seeds in my mix and they abrade the raised spots.
In case anyone is interested I will give you the recipe which I modified myself.
Dry ingredients: 450g Lidl Bread Flower, 50g Sunflower seed kernels, 1.5 desertspns sugar, 0.5 desertspns salt.
Wet ingredients: 225cc Soya Milk (or water), 2 eggs, 30g lard (Chopped).
Add the dry ingredients put one sachet of dried yeast in a well in the middle.
Set the machine to setting 10 LOOSE.
When it pings after 34 mins we usually add 100g of a mix of chopped dates and rasins.
This is obligatory and does not seem to affect the loaf if omitted.
Hope this helps any of you who are not having success.0
