It did not take 8 years, it took 5 years 8 months

Options
Just obtained the mortgage remption statement and it is being cleared this month

I was on track to pay it off in 8 years, but the last payrise had begun to squeeze it a bit faster

Then I got lucky, and had a share options windfall

Of all the things to do with the money, paying the mortgage off in full seemed like the best one

And as of 1 September, the monthly £2763 that we were paying, is all ours

Shame I don't drink as surely this deserves, a Champagne

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
