Just a quick word on the subject if I may. I booked one of these holidays a few years ago. The initial charge was 38 pounds (4 x 9.50). By the time all the extras had been added and Haven had dropped a few charges in for good measure the total cost came to 107 pounds.
Not an issue for me, but I suspect it would have been for a low income family wanting a mega cheap break
I am not knocking them as I personally had a great time, just warning people to check the small print and investigate potential additional charges.0 -

Good point, for those who haven't done the holidays before, you really need to buy the Sun every day and as soon as the parks and dates are released go on the internet and check the prices to make sure you are getting a bargain.
All the extras are mentioned in the paper so you shouldn't end up with any charges you aren't expecting, I'm not sure what happened with BLT, but in the paper it tells you all the entertainment charges, all the heating charges etc and upgrade costs (if you want to) and a cost if you want to hire linen - although you don't have to.
You really do need to check the prices direct first though to make sure you are happy witht he price. I booked for both May bank holidays this year and saved over £200 on each of them, but if I'd booked for the week either side the prices were only about £75 different - but still a saving!
welshiebeth - there's loads of people on here who use these holidays all the time (I myself do about 5 or 6 a year) and we're all more than happy to help, we even share experiences of where we go, what parks are like. So keep an eye out.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

We're not long back from Doniford Bay. (DM £15 holiday) Really liked it despite it not getting very good reviews. Tend to take reviews with a pinch of salt nowadays though!0

I was one of the unlucky ones earlier this year who got an email saying I had been sent a priority booking form, but nothing ever arrived. When i contacted the Sun they said I had not been sent one, despite the email, and that names were chosen at random. I was really upset as i was relying on the form as I have to be really specific with the dates due to work commitments.
If anyone has a spare priority code i would be really grateful to receive one. Hope there is some generous soul out there,
kind regards

Yup a lot of people come back whinging about the extra costs <sigh>
when it's all there on the SUN website AND in the pullout!! so they should read before booking0 -
Hi, This my first ever post so please excuse me if i make a mistake. I have a priority booking reference that i won't be using. However i know that on previous threads there has been a list of people awaiting booking references and so i'm not sure exactly what to do with mine.
Can anyone advise me please?0 -
I have not seen any list yet this time. I would be extremely grateful for the booking form if you still have it as it is my last holiday before my daughter starts school and I am very restricted on dates I can go due to work commitments. I was promised one last year but was let down at the last minute. I will keep my fingers crossedXXX
Regards

People will be biting your hand off for it0 -
I had originally decided that i wouldn't be doing one of these, as we have lots of holidays/weekends away including two weekends in the autumn with the sun.
However i'm thinking now i might be actually able to squeeze another one in.
Have all the weekend to soften up hubby:D
First time I've got priority booking as well.Seems a shame not to use it:)0
