Yeah it is HBOS. I wouldn't mind, but I managed to make some extra money yesterday and felt really hopeful about sorting our situation out, and now I feel down again.

:grouphug: it might be worth a phone call to them to see if they will waive the fees?

I have to say that I didnt have any luck with A&L and ended up switching my current account.

    Hi All,

Absolutely gorgeous day - no clouds at all. I'm off for a day with the Housing Trust I'm trustee with. There seems to be a battle as to whether I'm going to be on site or in the office - nice to be in demand!

Pooky - Can't you put the cat back on the roof and see what it does. It might prod it around a bit to within reach!

    Catch you all later,

    morning peoples....

A&L i think will give you one or two instances of waived charges, so if it's never happened before you might get lucky...

  • Morning everyone,

It's lovely and sunny here. Is spring on it's way?

Got a day of reports ahead of me and maybe some sneaky writing of my assignment.

I'm going on a course tomorrow and am getting a hire car, should be interesting to see what they give me. So far I've had a mondeo that liked to vere to the left when I broke. A clio that had bits of the interior fall off!:rotfl:

    Keep smiling everyone.

Well I need to speak to DH, but I have done the Debt remedy with CCCS and they are advising a DMP (not surprised really). If it is as good as they say, we could be debt free in under 2 years!

    :(

just had a email FIL has been taken into hospital not sure exactly whats up, the are hoping just a ulcer but having to have tests done,

really not sure what to do now as was supposed to be going up to Derbyshire this weekend for my cousins wedding and best friends baby girls christening (i am godfather) however if FIL is still in hospitalthe wife will not want to go (understandably) but i dont want to pull out of being the Godfather this close to the Christening but also do not want to leave my wife alone with the kids her dad in hospital and without the car (and isnt it just the case that we have only had to go down to one car a week ago) - why are things always so bloody difficult

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

thats great news mazza, just remember however that if you do go on a DMP it will affect your credit history for the next 6 years, so although you would be debt free sooner you would still have the bad credit score for a while, this being said having access to easy credit is what has gotten most of us in this situation in the first place and with a good budget you will not need it ever again (other than a mortgage)

daft question alert - how long does it normally take to transfer money from one bank to another?
    26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%
