I am so sorry for the loss of your dearly loved family pet. This thread made me cry, everytime I think of losing my little man I am full of dread. I found Rainbow Bridge a while ago now and it always make me cry. I hope you can find some comfort in all the happy memories you must have of the things you did and the places you used to go. xxxxxxxx:idea: LBM 23-10-2009 - Total unsecured debt £39,638.65 _pale_

Dog's Legacy
When humans die, they make a will
To leave their homes and all they have
to those they love.
I, too, would make a will if I could write.
To some poor wistful, lonely stray
I leave my happy home,
My dish, my cosy bed, my cushioned chair, my toy.
The well loved lap, the gentle stroking hand,
the loving voice,
The place I made in someone's heart,
The love that at the last could help me to
a peaceful painless end
Held in loving arms.
If I should die, Oh do not say,
"No more a pet I'll have,
to grieve me by it's loss"
Seek out some lonely, unloved dog
And give my place to him.
This is the legacy I leave behind -
'tis all I have to give.

Here I am, a 15 stone truck driver just about bawling my eyes out as I look at our little black ball of fun, and when I read posts like this I feel so guilty.
I can't imagine what you are going through, but I've no doubt someday my family will have to face the same daunting prospect. I'm sure your beloved Clio is now at peace.
My heart goes out to you at this awful time. That's my mutt in the picture above.0
