Sorry for the late reply - don't always have time to follow-up some threads immediately.
I guess I do what most do: turn off the lights when not in the room. I turn on the lights only when it gets too dark to see or read. I don't leave anything on standby and only cook/boil the quantity and for the time needed - use the microwave when appropriate and use the top oven only (not sure the latter makes any difference). I don't have Internet or Sky at home so tend to do what I need during work breaks or at a public library. Tend to download TV and radio stuff from iplayer elsewhere. I guess I'm a bit of a free loader interms of electricity usage.
Also, I only heat water for about 30 mins M-F - longer at weekends (and yes I do shower every day). I use the washing machine when there's a full load and use the low heat, daily and rapid wash options when I can. I've never used the Immersion heater.
I could go on, but I'm sure I've sent some to sleep by nowFree thinker.:cool:0
