lol
I would be gutted if they closed my account.
no hang on, why would i lol rather have the deals and then shop elsewhere
It is poor that there websites so poorly built they can no filter codes. Tesco do it. mind you, half the time you can not use the tesco ones assigned to you LOL
Mind you - the tesco clothing ones are hilarious - recently got £50 of stuff for £25 + free p&p using 4 or 5 codes lol............... Have you ever wondered what
¦OO¬¬ O[]¦ Martin would look like

It's kind of ironic in a way, people using codes probably spend more with them than they would otherwise, so the number of orders gets increased, but with a smaller profit margin? Should work out better for them anyway!
If you have a letter or an order rejected, give them a call, just explain that you only used codes you thought you were entiled to . Ie the ones in the papers or mailed direct. You should at least just get a warning like I did...lol getting warning for spending money with a shop....that's a first!!!
Well they have lost my business as they are now not competitive enough without a code, so it's cheaper to buy elsewhere now.
You would think they would be happy to be getting the 1000's of additional orders!!!0 -

I think you should ignore them. Why should you ring them back (on 0870 number no doubt)?
You might have your account closed but I don't think they can enforce payment on unnassigned codes-you used them in good faith and its their mistake for letting it go through."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

yes true, the number is a 0845 by the way, i was thinking its for them to chase me up not me chasing them but there have been stories on the internet of them just taking money out of peoples cards with out permission and the excuse is it sates in there t&c they can. do you think it best to cancel my card i payed with it for. but then if i do that ive seen stories on the web of them threatening to take you to court so i really do not no what to do0 -
If you are that worried the best thing to do is write back and tell them that the codes were used in good faith etc. You might also have to read the t & cs to see for yourself. I don't think they can retrospectively remove a code but amend the order but I may be wrong."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." yes but on other sites it say they charge back all the codes used over all accounts over all sites i would say i would owe about £150 witch is not alot in there eyes they probably make that a minute. like i said do you think i should just let them ring me they may just let it go but if i ring them it may remind them?
thanks0 -
This is all rubbish.
It's THEIR responsibility to check the code at the time the order is processed. Lets be honest here. In most cases their goods are ridicously overpriced.
If I was running Littlewoods, I would ensure that any new accounts are checked to see what addresses are already currently registered and whether or any discount codes valid.
As already mentioned, the fact that advertise codes in local and national press makes the whole thing idiotic really.0
