    hiya,

Well, I applied online for a call back and arranged appointment.
I went in with my passport etc and did the interview. I was then informed
that I would only qualify if I went in for a "full" review, which is what I thought I had originally signed up for!

They really don't make it easy :-(

Is there any way I can get them to give me the dough?

    cheers,

    yogi
  • No idea yogi - when I did mine then they said that was it and I'd get my cashback, and asked me to sign a form for it - did they ask you to sign anything?

However the T&Cs did say something about that if the full review takes more than one session, you'll only get your money after the second session, so maybe that's the case with you.

    hiya,
No, that's not the case.I was out of their in 20 minutes.

They said that was it, and didn't ask me to sign anything :-(
  • The reveiw took my husband 10 minutes.
The so called financial advisor asked if their was anything he could help him with or had he come for the £25.

My husband is a top moneysaver and shops around for all financial products
so he was their for the £25 and the financial advisor didn't want to waste his time.

He was asked to sign a form however to prove he had attended the reveiw and told the £25 would be paid into his current account.

£25 for 10 minutes that works out at £150/hour, not a bad rate!
  • I encourage more moneysavers to grab the £25 before Alliance and Leicester withdraw this offer.

My sister and her husband both had their financial reveiw and after booking 2 seperate 1 hour appointments ended up spending less than 15 minutes in the office together and were asked to sign their individual forms to receive £25 each.

The cash is to be paid into their current accounts said the financial advisor.

He asked if they had just come for the £25 and then said they may as well just sign the form so no one would be wasting their time.

SO COME ON MONEYSAVERS BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AND CLAIM YOUR £25]

I wish there was an A&L close to me. It would be such a laugh and I would get £25 for it as well.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

If it costs you nothing extra for the visit, and you don't have anything better to do with that time, yes. I've had/anwered this question before wrt LLTSB, and I wasted their time (review after closing time) but not mine (I'd otherwise be in the pub) and got a potential £20k of credit (£10k on 0% credit card which I took.)

Granted, if you have to go out of your way to attend one of these meetings, then it might not be as profitable...
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries

I was in town anyway and didn't have anything in particular else to do, so in my case, yes! Also I was the only customer in the branch as it turned out so I wasn't taking up too much of their valuable time.

Given it only took me 15 mins, that's £100/hour so more than I earn in my job!
  • Wish I was earning £100 an hour and could afford to turn down an easy £25
