It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Sadly I did not get to the next stage for the job. I got really good feedback but I just don't have enough 'senior' experience...

Need to keep in mind that the right thing will come at the right time... :o

Good idea to take the positive from it in that you did as well as you could, that you received good feedback and you know what you need to work on.

    Sorry you didn't get it...
Thought that bloody goat looked shifty, even though the farmer said it was a virgin... I'm gonna hex that farmer, there will be a reckoning...

Indeed it is Beanie! Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'm still on the search for a move - hopefully this side of Christmas but I can wait for the right one.

Feeling good today! Amazing what a decent sleep can do. Have fallen off the exercise wagon a bit but will be back on it tomorrow. This stage is a move to T25/run followed by 30mins weights. Really looking forward to getting stuck in!

    Moneywise progress is being made.
    • The food bill has reduced drastically since we stopped getting it delivered and pared back to basics and eat our biggest meal as a packed lunch.
    • The Tesco card is coming down and the interest free ones are ticking along nicely. I think we'll be able to shift more of the Tesco one to interest free in a month or so and I can pay the balance left behind in a few months. That brings our CC free date to end 2019.
    • We can then look at the loan we have with Northern Rock (about 6k) and get it moved to a lower rate/shorter period and paid off quicker as well as start paying a surplus on the mortgage.
    Sounds like a plan right?

Happy hump day. Keep smiling y'all!

Utterly frustrating day at work. Glad to be off tomorrow!

I have been binge reading some diaries. Lots of ideas and inspiration. I think I am going to sign up to some survey sites. Any recommendations would be most welcome :)

Going to take my grumpiness away now lol

Panel Base and Prolific Academic are my top two survey sites at the moment ;)

I think the heat is getting to folks now, have a few crabbit folk in my department moaning and complaining about it. Same folks that complain about the weather regardless of what it is...

    Enjoy your day off :D
