This is the obious result of the new laws. As soon as I discovered that my ISP had kept copies of all of my emails back to 2002, I immediately encrypted all of my internet traffic. This will, as it did in Sweden, wake many more people up to the need to do so.
How did you find this out? At a guess I'd say at least 5TB of data in 7 Years. Who pays for all that Storage?
BTW, who is your ISP, one to avoid at all cost.

Back on topic, I remember when Tape Recorders became popular and people recorded music from the Radio and then passed it on, crap copy unless you had all the cables but that was meant to 'bring down' the Music industry, never happened.

I think if they didn't charge so much for 'tracks' then the illegal file sharer's would not 'chance it' and be more likely to pay.

the reason i download music and video from the net is to sample befor i buy, if i download a movie and enjoy it i will go to the cinema to see it or buy the DVD to get the extras. i begrudge paying £10 to see a movie and it be total pants
. if i buy a product and it turns out to be rubbish i can take it back for a refund or at least a credit note, try doing that in the cinema and see how far you get.
I fancied seeing "The Box" recently, i downloaded it but switched it off after 1 hour because it was abbismal. so at the end of the day i saved my money by not going to see it and i didnt help line the pockets of the people who churn out this rubbish.
the same goes for music, i have downloaded some really good stuff which i then went and bought, i have also downloaded an awfull lot od dross which has gon straight in the recycle bin.

its generally agreed that people who illegaly download spend more on the product than those who dont so they powers that be are going to end up shooting themselves in the foot if they persist with this witch hunt.

    What a strange post. :(
You can't expect to try before you buy, what gives you the right? That's why there are Movie trailers, so you can get the 'feel' for a Movie before you buy it or pay to see it.
If you listen to the Radio you get the same 'feel' for a group before you buy their Album.
You don't go to Tesco and try the Goods before you buy, do you?

What a even stranger post, what's changing rooms for at clothes stores for then?

Although as I said before you can get similar try before you buy services at Last.fm and if you subscribe Sky music.

movie trailers are no good at all, the trailer for "the box" looks good but the film is rubbish, trailers just show you the best bits, i dont listen to music radio due to the inane ramblings inbetween the music.
as for tesco, if something is rubbish i can take it back for a refund.

Boasting on a Public Forum that you quite openly steal Movies and Music is nothing to be proud of, it's not big, not clever and IS illegal. Dress it up all you want, you are taking something that does not belong to you and you think it's your right.

If you listen to the Radio you get the same 'feel' for a group before you buy their Album. one track on the radio does not give a feel of the crap the rest of the album may contain, unless you wait months to hear the other tracks on the radio;)

Actually, with some goods you can, more so if it is bought online:D

So is not making movie theatres accessible to all with disabilities, but then acrophobia is a state of mind not a disability, unless you suffer from it:mad:, but its not reasonable for the movie industry to shut a theatre so one person can watch a movie, but they have made no effort to allow said person to watch it at home at the same time it is in the cinemas have they, which these days would be a simple thing to do.

I see rinabean has thanked those posts that have disagreed with me, wow whatever.
This is a Public Forum where people can post their opinions, that is what you have done and so have I? You don't give a toss as to my opinion and vice verse, so stalemate, end of.
  • Just goes to show what a con government is. Looks like they are well and truly brought and paid for by big business. What a surprise, my MP didn't turn up either. Where's Guy Fawkes when you need him. Or a high powered rifle. Seriously, where the hell are the IRA these days. Come back, please.

Luckily Peter Mandelson is elected, oh wait. Just go and look for the photos of him with David Geffen (a founder of Dreamworks among other things.) a few days before he announces this !!!!!!!! bill.

Combined with the complete and unbelievable ridiculousness of the MPs getting away with fraud and theft.

    Gotta love the hypocrisy.

I had to laugh the other day when a MP was talking about how Britain is a model for the Afghan elections.
