Hi, I have been in EXACTLY the same situation, Went from Joint Claim to single claim - 3 weeks later I eventually got a letter requesting more information. !!!!!!? its not rocket science to look at the old information is it? Anyway I sent everything they asked for and waited another 2 weeks. Ok I thought, enough is enough. I contacted by local MP explained the situation and hey presto my 1st tax credit payment came through 4 days later! RESULT!

I would urge anyone to involve your local MP mine really got it moving. Before the 1st payment a lovely lady from the MP's office rang me and told me what I should expect and when it was going to be paid.
