Welcome to the challenge Purple! Yeah just join in on Wed Paula- will probably take me that long to get going anyway! Looking at my nice slim Sulkie will be good motivation actually seeing as it's supposed to be me but hasn't got my fat belly!

NLID- looking forward to seeing the finished version- what was the 'unfortunately' for though ? Do you mean the cost? I for one don't mind paying more for it as I think it will be v useful to help find out what I can buy to sell :-)

The reason for the unfortunately, is to make it cost effective for me to put in all features I want to, I have estimated to make it worth all of the effort to get it in there is going to take around 240 hours development - most of which would need to be done in one big block.

To justify this, It would be massively expensive to do in one go with less than 200 users to be totally honest with you, however It would be a good selling point so I would set the limit a LOT lower than this - maybe 50 subscribers.

  • Good evening everyone!

Well well, all this talk of weight loss, I absolutely have to join in, if you'll have me! I bought a set of scales for weighing stuff for eBay as haven't had any in the house for at least 6 years. Of course I point blank refused to step on them till about 2 weeks ago when I had a mad moment and thought ach, what harm can it do...... Eeeeek  I'm 5ft 1 and a very important half inch and found I was at the heaviest I've possibly ever been. I know a big part of my problem is that I don't eat brekkie and usually don't bother with lunch, then have my dinner too late at night. So last couple of weeks I've been eating lunch and having dinner at a sensible time and have managed to lose about 7lbs since then, without really watching what I'm eating, so I'm guessing I just need to be sensible to make a difference. I got into my size 12 jeans on Friday night, and while I wasn't cut in half, I certainly wasn't comfortable! Still, it was a nice boost. I want to lose 2 stone, but I'm not giving myself a time limit as such. I'll weigh myself tonight when I'm stripped for bed, but at last check I was 11 stone 4lbs  I also want to try (again) to quit smoking, but I think one thing at a time as I'd fully expect to put some weight on when I do finally manage to quit.

Paula, could you pm me your addy and I'll get Totoro off to you tomorrow. I had some welcome feedback on him today, so I have one thing to change then can get him off to you. I have thought carefully about this, and I will not ask you to pay for him - what I'd like in exchange is some honest criticism as there are one or two aspects I'm not happy with and may need to work on/avoid in future. It really didn't take me long to do him, and the actual cost of materials was minimal. I'd like to do this as a trial run for want of a better way of putting it, but only if you agree to be entirely honest. I think there might be a lovely but perhaps misplaced tendancy to be motivational on here when constructive criticism would be more appropriate and that's what I personally want! Please!

Ok, if Mambury doesn't mind then I'll split the rasps. Can you others send me your addys, pls. Need to work out how to package them so they don't get too bashed about, though. Not sure if they will survive in a jiffy or not.

  • Just been for a walk with OH, it was okay, it's freezing out again now though.

And realized I probably can't go tomorrow. Two of the train stations near me are closed, the third is forty minutes walk away. I'd have to get on there, get a train in the opposite direction that takes twenty minutes, get off for an hour, get on to another and then I'd get there. That train would be forty five minutes. I have to be there at 9.15 latest (that's already late) and so its stupidly early and expensive.

Cheapest taxi quote I can find at the moment is £40 each way.

And I've just made a notebook for it...I'd just got the confidence to value how good it would be. I don't know what to do.
