Thanks Elly - I do need keeping in check! Hope the packing is going well. xx

Trouble is I have been wheeling and dealing on ebay and sorting stuff for freecycling too and I can't resist a peak on here!

Last year we somehow ended up with a brand new 8ft trampoline with enclosure and a brand new 12ft without an enclosure. Only want to use one with an enclosure so thought I'd ebay the 8ft with enclosure to pay for the enclosure for the 12ft. BUT yesterday found a lady selling the a brand new enclosure for the 12ft and in her description she mentioned wanting an 8ft trampoline. One cheeky message later and we are doing a swap.....just got to collect/deliver next weekend. Woohoo!! No having to worry about ebaying/buying a new one, all sorted in one deal! And everything I am freecycling is going quickly too - am on a roll!!! Now back to sorting the washing!!

LOL NIxi, freecycling anything good?? Am only a short drive away lol

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all doing very well today.

I am thinking about heading out for a bit of a wander, feel so trapped in the house here. I have also been spending the morning applying for better jobs, so time consuming rewriting cover letters lol, good thing I love to write. I am so sick to death with CV's and job hunting!! I think at last count am near the 900 mark or just past it now. Oh well, good things do come to those who wait lol, I am proof of that!!

Right back to sending the last 5 off and then can treat myself to something nice, might just do a bit of window shopping/dreaming later

Unfortunately not hon, so far have given away a bike engine stand, a box of white tiles, a large mirror (needs reframing) and some other bits that have lived outside for the last 18months as they were left here by the previous owners! About to go and carry on sorting so if I think of anything I will let you know first!!

You told us to tell you to go and do your jobs- so go and do your jobs you naughty girl :-)
  • Hi everyone :)
Had a dreadful headache all night, which is why I didn't come back. Sorry everyone. I think it's dehydration...I hate water, and live off Pepsi Max and Oasis. Which I thought was okay, but OH says will make me dehydrate, and I felt so, so ill.

Now I've got far too much work to do, and have to decide whether to go to the course tomorrow (it feels huge to me. I know its stupid) and cook Sunday Roast.

I hope everyone is having a nice day, you all sound very productive!

Nikki, can you do night-out packages maybe? Or market the packages as a cheer-up treat' 'had a bad week? =etc', maybe mention how friendly and pleasant you are in some way, I'm always put off, well hairdressers really as I've had my legs waxed once and that was enough, thanks lol - but I was a bit put off by the unfriendly beautician? Could you maybe generate some word-of-mouth through friends and clients? Sorry if this is no use, I know nothing at all about beauty treatments lol!
Can someone get me some motivation from the shop when you're there please? Pffft. Doing lots of stuff with kids atm so nothing much else happening but going to try to maybe Ebay the last of the pile later.
Jo and Saucy, big hugs, and to anyone else that need them, hope you're in a better state of mind today
Toots, will love seeing the pics when they're done, thank you, sorry am not getting on here much atm except on my phone which is a pain to write anything on.
Em and Mambury and anyone else, thank you for the well-wishes, hope you're all OK and will hopefully be back soon

Paula - Having an issue uploading from my camera for some odd reason, I only got it at christmas and it's been brilliant, so not sure what the problem is! Bliddy typical! Totoro is sitting here looking quite cute, even if I do say so myself. My only real concern tbh is the finishing, not my greatest strength, so would appreciate your critical feedback on that Paula. Will borrow a camera this afternoon and get piccies to you hopefully tonight, if you could pm me your email addy?
Also, just wanted to say, I know you've been feeling a bit fragile hun, but I have to echo exactly what everyone else has said, you have great talent with your sulkies, and I'm sure with other things that we're not privvy too. I do understand however, how easy it is to have doubt-filled moments, so hugs for you and I hope that this time passes soon. x

Nikki - Prom packages, it is coming up to that time of year! Most salon do them and for the lot, nails, hair (put up not cut), makeup, they charge something like £60-100. !

I looked into having a makeup party for my DD last year but the cost was prohibitive which was a real shame. There's certainly a market I'd suggest, so go for it!

Thanks Em, shame about the beer festival and good news about the rebate.
Nikki that sounds like a great idea.
The food talk has made me hungry. skint I think that selling stuff at car boot could definitely boost your cake sales too if you had some photos/ album/ leaflets or even a cake to display.
Speaking of soap we still haven't heard much from Shell06 and also Toots I know you said you needed more time to do stuff and less dribbling but you are missed so please stay in touch even if its just a little bit.
loving the funny stories and misheard lyrics.(I did the same with the SHania Twain one for a while!!)
    Jo x

Bless ya, thanks Jo! Been trying to keep up with the dribble during my enforced absence, but failed miserably lol! I've found that while I had a bunch of ideas, only so many of them are actually practical, so while it's not been a particularly productive time as far as the actual items I have to show for it are concerned, it's been good to work out what's good and not for me. Just reading that back and not sure it makes any sense!!

Beautiful day here today and I should really get out and enjoy it, but OH is still abroad and I cba wandering around by myself. So I think I'll spend the avo being productive (that's the plan anyhow!) by doing a bit around the house and then some hooking. I'm off tomorrow since I worked on Saturday and will be up with the lark (or at least the kids) before I have the day to myself, so will try to formulate some kind of plan for the day so that I don't waste it!

I'm going to try heading back and seeing what I've missed in the thread now, but will be popping in and out!

    Have a great day everyone!

  • Saucy hun, doing something new and different is always difficult, but if you don't do it you may well regret it, and life is too short to live with regrets. Don't think about whether you're going to go, tell yourself that you ARE going to go! Then you can come back and share all your new-found information with us!! :rotfl:

Apologies for the mutliple posts, for some reason MSE doesn't want to let me multiquote today so I resorted to using notepad lol.
