  • Hi Toots :)

Mabel - I do like squash...or at least I used too. I can just taste the water these days...to me it tastes disgusting and makes me feel really ill. OH says I'll have to get used to it before Seville...Bleugh.

    What's everybody up too today?

  • Hey Nix and Saucy!

Saucy, I never liked drinking tap water, but we got one of those Britax filter jug thingys and the difference is incredible. Might be worth a try?

Anyone likely to want to grow raspberries? I am weeding and sorting out the fruit beds in the front garden and digging up suckers, so if you want me to wrap some plastic round the roots and send them to you sing out quick cos they will go in the recycling if not. They are Joan J autumn fruiters, if that matters to you. Can't imagine you'd get much fruit this year, but they did well for me last year - yummy fresh rasps from the garden.
  • Oooh that might be worth a try, Toots. Thanks :) Is it a filterer? I'm a bit behind when it comes to water products, haha.

Oooh I'd love to grow raspberries. No garden though, sorry :(

Hi Toots, it did make sense- sorting out where best to put your energies sometimes takes time but is worthwhile and it sounds like you've drawn some very useful conclusions. Shame about OH being away when its such lovely weather. our kids have been loving the freedom of the garden.
Saucy what about fruit juice of any sort or eating stuff like water melons/ clementines etc and cucumber or herbal/ fruit tea very dilute and hot or iced?
With the course you could just go and see what it is like you can always leave at lunch and never go back. you could just see it as half a day at a time. do yhe first morning and decide if you can then manage the afternoon as well. if so the go tues morning and then see about the afternoon. don't see it as 4 days but several half days and at anytime you can say ok I've had enough its not for me and leave. that way you don't have to commit to the whole thing upfront but can go along and see what it is like.
Paula its lovely to hear from you hope you have a good day. hugs.

2cats - I am very tempted but no one in our house eats rasberries so it would be a waste...shame as very kind offer.

DH has reminded me of the plant swap at the allotments where he takes DD dog training, so if no-one here wants them they can go there. Phew! Hate waste and it would be criminal to put them in the recycling, but I've got no more room for any more canes until I get the back garden cleared for more fruit and veg.
  • Jo, thank you :) I think it's just reassurance, so that helped a lot. I think I'll do that...

I haven't recieved the letter on what to take, and I'll be gone before they send it tomorrow. Any ideas? Just a notebook, or should I take my netbook (has my business plan etc on) as I find it much less painful to type then write?

    And getting up at 8am....AAAHHHH.

2Cats, that sounds nice. I wish they did something like that here...I wish I had a garden! I'm gonna grow an orange tree in Spain. And lemons. Oh, and OH said I can have a kitten when we've found somewhere to live over there!!! (there's cats in Spain, right?)
