NLID - well done on the weigh in. I totally back the idea. i lost almost 2 stone in the first 5 months with a little one - only difference with me is i dont drive so was walking everywhere and the only way my DD would sleep is by going on a long walk. As for the curry thing it must be a new parent thing lol. Me and OH went through a stage of a curry a week and is a total killer financially. Anyways i need some inspiration for you fellow dribblers - my OH birthday friday and she has everything she ever needs according to her. What can i get her?

Hope everyone is keeping well though and Zumba was great my OH said when she started a few weeks ago

The curry a week has been on the cards a lot longer than DS has been around.

It all started years back when it was a night out with the missus, then when we got hte house it turned into a takeaway a week and has stuck since.

It is just one of the few treats I still allow myself and justify it by the fact our local takeaway offers Buy one get one free - so it usually covers 3 meals for me and one for my OH, and as we know the owners we dont pay retail on it and theres always loads of freebies thrown in.

The MoneySaver in me says I should cut it out - however I have cut out virtually everything else from my monthly spend and sold/selling everything which isnt bolted down to generate a lump sum to pay my creditors off.

NLID when I first started menu planning we cut down from takeaway/chippy once a week (which had become a habit) to once a fortnight. I had a menu plan that repeated every fortnight and the 2nd friday was chippy. Now its once a month but we do cheat from time to time and the menu plan has gone out of the window but will be reviving it in the near future. prob get organised to start again for May.
Not saying you should do this just that you don't have to cut it out to cut it down!

  • Jo,

I know I should do and recently we have cut out once every 3 weeks - meaning we have 2 indians in a 3 week period.

I dont think I could cut it out if im honest, I simply enjoy the cuising tooo much.

Anyways enough dribbling - need to spend my time getting all this code upto scratch for the next release

Tried that- they just said I'd have to wait and see ;-) By process of elimination I think they must be lettuce, carrots are feathery and beans and peas are sprouty ( technical term lmao)

im off to bed soon- really knackered , hoping for good nights sleep but not holding my breath, actually that's lie, I am, why do puppy farts smell so bad?!

    Evening all,
Emm so sorry to hear your news ((hugs))

Mabel when your shoots get a bit bigger take a photo and I or someone more knowledgeable will tell you what they are.

The St Georges day service was very boring it went on for an hour and 20 minutes. The kids enjoyed the parade though as they get to walk down the middle of the road and the police stop the traffic. When you are 6 years old that is very exciting. When you are nearly 60 years old its a pain in the bum and the feet lol.

  • NLID it would seem the currys are the one luxury you are allowing yourselves. Perhaps cutting down the frequency will not only be money saving, but would make you anticipate and enjoy it even more.
