if its wool then be careful.... I've always used Vanish for carpets or 1001 for carpets and both seem quite good. I would give it a wash with washing up liquid for the moment and get up as much as you can.

Stardrops is quite good too, just be careful if its wool!

All I've done is the washing up liquid for now - great minds - got some star drops but hadn't thought of trying that. Prob is it stinks.......

OH is picking up vanish carpet cleaner and febreeze fabric odour spray on the way home from work, as typically I have run out

Its 80 20 wool! Couldn't have happened last week before it was changed could it!!!!!!

Consulting my book "How to Clean Just about Anything", apparently, lightly apply a solution of 1/2 a teaspoon of wahing detergent per litre of water, leave to soak for 15 minutes, then blot with a clean paper towel. If that doesn't remove the stain, moisten the tufts of the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Applying with a cotton bud, this should absord the stain from the carpet into the bud.

    dunno if it will work.

Thank you for looking - not sure I know where to get hydrogen peroxide...it sounds scary!

Thanks for your help all! Had to clean up on furniture etc before but this is the first time our carpet has suffered...typical.

Having a quick cuddle before school pick up...... shes now asking for food so guess she is feeling a little better (as going out in the car in 15mins I am making her wait!)

  • Nixi - If worst comes to worst, use one of those satchets of hair dye...you know the 99p ones in blue packets? Covers everything.

(Had a beige carpet growing up...whole carpet is probably nicely dyed :rotfl:) You'll probably have sorted it by the time I've written this though. I'm so fed up.

    Hi everyone.
Sorry, these must be really annoying posts. It takes me forever to post, and I'm in so much pain. I want to do something, anything, but I can't think straight or concentrate. Morphine has killed my ability to think, and I miss you guys so much. Just wanted to say hi.

Poor Saucy ... I'm no good at being immobilised either. Morphine frazzles your brain. Was on the stuff post-op once and hated it.

oh Saucy.... BIG HUGS luvvie! Other than find another doctor quick I don't know what else to suggest..... Can you phone a doc local to you and get them to visit... tell them its urgent as even though you are taking morpine you are still in pain. A friend of mine takes morphine for pain relief and it works for him, I guess maybe they don' have the dose right?

I wish I could come and look after you my dear!
