  • This just isn't my week :(

Great bargain Mabel! I thought I got a good one last week when B&Q reduced all their tato packs down to 20p, but then I had to go out and buy the pots and compost, so not that great!

Well done on the job Nikki!

Mambury - bl00dy kids always get hold of the wrong stuff, I still haven't found DD1s secret stash of Mummy's bits either! Sods law, you won't find it until you go and pay for a new one! Hope you are feeling ok now though!

Nixi - hope little one gets better soon, she must be poorly to turn down treats. I do the same thing with DD1, her weakness is Haribo though, if she won't eat them ,then she really is ill. To make DD1 feel a bit better, I give her warm milk (if she is really ill, then I will make it strawberry flavoured). Hope it is not the dreaded DV.

Right, haircut was a big fat NO. Got there and she said I have got nits. Great, bl00dy kids  Serves me right, I always manage to get them when I see my niece (she is 5 and has a horrible classmate). So instead ended up trekking to Boots and spending my free time debugging myself. Great! DD1 has next to no hair and DD2, well, she hasn't grown any yet, so not to bad on the treating the kids front, but really miffed, brother got a snotty text :( Least the hairdresser was nice about it, booked another app for next week seeing as how I am now not child free until then :(

Thanks Mambury!!!! Carpet is beige (closest colour I can think of) and the stain has a pink tinge (she has been drinking blackcurrant squash!!)

When my little monster got foundation all over a browny cream carpet I found that Cif mulitifiz was the only thing to shift the stain. HTH.

if its wool then be careful.... I've always used Vanish for carpets or 1001 for carpets and both seem quite good. I would give it a wash with washing up liquid for the moment and get up as much as you can.

Stardrops is quite good too, just be careful if its wool!

M&P - kids eh!! bummer about being infested!...... I am feeling much better now and £7.20 spent at the docs.....grrr not happy! Hairdressers see this kind of thing all the time, at least you can blame it on the kids!!! I would avoid said niece until they prove shes free of bugs!!:D

I really should be doing jobs, not chatting with you lot, but heyho!

  • Consulting my book "How to Clean Just about Anything", apparently, lightly apply a solution of 1/2 a teaspoon of wahing detergent per litre of water, leave to soak for 15 minutes, then blot with a clean paper towel. If that doesn't remove the stain, moisten the tufts of the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Applying with a cotton bud, this should absord the stain from the carpet into the bud.

    dunno if it will work.
