Consulting my book "How to Clean Just about Anything", apparently, lightly apply a solution of 1/2 a teaspoon of wahing detergent per litre of water, leave to soak for 15 minutes, then blot with a clean paper towel. If that doesn't remove the stain, moisten the tufts of the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Applying with a cotton bud, this should absord the stain from the carpet into the bud.

    dunno if it will work.

cotton bud??? blimey thats real housework, take bloody ages!!

afternoon everyone, eventually caught up with all the dribble since good friday. phew!!!!
Glad everyone is still around, although miss babymoo and her blog, hope she is ok.
I'm on the mend I think. I have my operation booked in for the 10th of May so will know more after that.
Recieved a letter from my ppi claim yesterday saying there was a delay investigating it so I'm replying today saying not good enough and that they still have 4 weeks left of the allowed 8 in which to resolve my claim or I will take it to the FSO. So should know more by the end of may.

  • Hi everyone.
Sorry, these must be really annoying posts. It takes me forever to post, and I'm in so much pain. I want to do something, anything, but I can't think straight or concentrate. Morphine has killed my ability to think, and I miss you guys so much. Just wanted to say hi.

NLID - yes there is, it says:
Apply methylated spirit to a clean white cloth or white paper towel and blot the stain. Discard the dirty towels and repeat using fresh paper towels and alcohol until the stain is gone. Don't let the alcohol penetrate the carpet backing as it can destroy the rubber lining.

Book was OHs present to me a few years ago (do you think it was a hint??)

    PMd you back Mabel! x
