hi toots, the book is The Horse Boy, By Rupert Isaacson (the wee lads dad), its amazing the lengths the family have gone to and its one of these books you cant wait to get to the end to see whats happened. i think i read somewhere there was a film or they are making a film but i personally hate films if i've read the book, it shatters all my illusions and imagination. its not a sad story but one of encouragement to never give up -iyswim

skint I'm like that with films of books too. They never match the way my mind has imagined things from the prose.

Thanks for the info Skint, may look out for that. I know what you mean about reading books then seeing films - I can't do it that way around, I have set ideas about the characters etc and sometimes a perfectly good film is ruined just because I didn't agree with the casting
