  • CAGNE I don't know if you're popping in and reading, but I've been racking my brains trying to think of something that was hidden away in a filing cabinet in my mind and it's just come to me! Fennel tea is supposed to be great for kidney stones - worth a try? If you can't find it, then get some fennel from a local herb store (probably available in supermarkets too), and just let it infuse in some hot water for a while before straining and drinking. If it's not to your taste, stick a spoonful of honey in it!!

Just thought, I'll put this on FB too in case you're not hanging around the dribblers just now.

mmm fennel tea. used to drink it when DS was tiny, breastfeeding and he had bad reflux. supposed to be good for that too!
don't really like fennel much but liked the tea.

I don't believe in any kind of all powerful god or goddess, and never will, but instead have an abiding appreciation for nature and the earth. There's a bit more to me than that lol, but that gives you the gist! While pagan isn't a word I really use for myself, it is usually what I say if asked, but because there is so much covered under that heading, labels are no good imo.

ditto on all of that and said so much better in one post that was taking me 3 to say and I still wasnt saying it in the right way. yes, there is certainlya bit more to you than that lol and me as well. for me it is a part of who I am, what makes me me, and I think the past few experiences have really only affirmed what I feel.........ok i am dribbling again and making no sense.....sowwy..........

hi folks, whats on the cards for tomorrow? take it you lot are not going to church then! hehehe. no neither am i.
anybody got any major plans? no idea what i'm going to do, will depend on the weather, think its a mixed bag forecast. up at 6 though to get the ds off on his paper round. still to make my bed before i crawl into it, should have done it hours ago.
on about other religions am reading a really interesting book based on a true story of a wee boy who has autism and was written off by the medical profession and his parents wouldnt accept it until they had tried every avenue and at the moment they are dealing with the Shamens in Outer Mongolia, they have also had dealings with the African Bushmen of Botswana - am nearly finished it and cant wait to see what thte outcome is, but so far definately seems to be something in it.

Hi Munchki, love your dribbling and don't be sowwy - you don't need to be. or at least not to me. I love this thread it has so many tangents and stuff to think about and explore.
Think its one thing I am missing in real life - some people to discuss all this sort of stuff with. so its nice to have this thread.
and still it works on the supporting each other to make money too. but I get more than that out of it. which I guess is pretty obvious lol

The month was strange in Smirkingtree some people had moved house, some strangers arrived and filled the empty houses and some people had left for pastures new .
Buisiness had been brisk with the chiching of money and the swish of cards two residents of Smirkingtree approached the council about opening their shops on a Sunday.
The council called an extraordinary meeting on a Saturday
the Blue party said yes and the red party said no but we all know capitalists need workers and communists need money .
The Yellow party missed the meeting trying to find somewhere to park and not get a ticket ,the new yellow lines were in for the parking scheme but the meters weren't due until Monday but noone listened to the Yellow party or told them anything.
There were also some strange people at the meeting a woman on the way in was hugging the large oak at the main door shouting green green and then there was the strange bald man who was declaring only people from smirkingtree should vote and no outsiders even though he looked new himself although he looked familiar standing naked except from an extra large merkin and muttering about his new tool .
The meeting was interupted by the church leaders who arrived wearing their pointy hats and muttering who are we again The Church of the Light of Smirkingtree,no we are The Church of Smirkingtree in the Light no declared one we are The Light Church of Smirkingtree (the congregation had lost 2 stones this week) and Sunday is a day of rest.
Fire shouted someone and everyone ran to the window the giant sulkie had caught fire ,some people were crying some were trying to put it out but it was soon apparent that the sulkie would burn itself out.
The meeting decided the best course of action was deck chairs, beer, wine and beefburgers and the Festival of Smirkingtree was born and of course Sunday was declared a day of rest. They needed it after frolicking in merkins until sunset. :rotfl:
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x
  • CAGNE Or tincture of Nettle, lol, just remembered that too! Softens the stones!

I always think of a zoo or animal park when I hear Longleat, think it must have been on tv at some point....

*waves* evening Munchki hun, how the devil are ya?

Hi Skint how are you hun?! Sounds like a fascinating book, would you like to share the name? I'm a big fiction gal myself, but I do like the odd true story (although usually need a box of hankies too!)
