  • Hi everyone - just letting you know I have created a 'DEBT pot' savings sheet - same as the 'savings pot' I had on the main budget spreadsheet, except the debt one focuses on what you owe, to whom, what you are paying back each month etc.

If you would like a copy of the Debt Pot - please PM me your e-mail address and I will send it to you, hopefully Rex can put it on the site for me soon.

Thanks...your spreadsheet looks just what I need. Have joined the Grocery challenge but its hard to keep track of the other stuff, kids bus fares etc just seem to be a constant drain on the old purse...

Always is, but at least with the spreadsheet it is a little bit easier to see what is going where. PM me your e-mail if you want the 'debt buster' spreadsheet as well, which I have just created.

Thanks EagerLearner I've just downloaded your spreadsheet. Looks like an easier way of tracking my spending!

I'm trying to cut down on my spending as I'm saving up for my house deposit.

I have just downloaded the software and think it is going to be a really useful tool for me. The one thing I could do with is a page for income for the month and a chart comparison or something which shows how much of it is left every month after my spends. Can you let me know if or how I could customise one of the pages to do this.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

What I've done is to create some extra pages so each area of spending is collated together i.e. bills (gas, water, electric, phones, internet, insurances etc) essentials (groceries, pets, cars) household (DIY, repairs, furnishings, garden etc) and frills (entertainment, beauty, eating out, holidays, gym etc) and also added an income page.

Each section then has it's own chart, which I've collated all together on one page so it's easy to see at a glance where the money is going each month! Then a final chart which plots total monthly expenditure against income - that's the scary bit lol!

Do you have a base copy of this that you'd be willing to share. I really need an income section, and the way you have collated the charts sounds very useful.
