Downgrade Sky - How much notice?

Hi,
I was thinking of downgrading our Sky package soon and was wondering how much notice they needed? Is it done immediately and you get credited for any days you have already paid or do they need a month's notice before switching off certain channels?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking at all these replies, you'll probably best to phone sky and ask them directly :rotfl:0 -
i was under the impression that to end your contract is 31 days but to just downgrade is instant as long as you have been on that package for 30 (or 31) days. you have to stay on a package for 30 (or 31!!!!) days before changing it.
best ring them....lol0 -
We downgraded ours on 31 March and it was done immediately. I believe that now there is a notification period.0

You can downgrade without any notice.
The month notice just means you have to keep channels for a month before you can get rid of them.
e.g. If you add Movies you have to keep them at least a month.0 -
Have to disagree with some of the people's answers. sky have or are this month introducing a notice period for downgrading. I was told this last time they offered me a 25% discount because she wanted to highlight that if I wanted to change anything when the discount ended to make sure I called a month in advance....

We may charge a reasonable administration fee to change your Service which we will let you know in advance.0 -
