why do people complain about high house prices?

You always hear people complaining that they cant afford houses as there too expensive, even though its true that they are dammed expensive, but surely the issue is that YOU cant afford a house coz your on a crap wage. Whose fault is that?

why complain that house prices are really really high, why not complain that you wage is really really low?

i dont think the price i paid for my flat is that high, for the area and type of property its an ok price.

I do however complain (to myself) that my wage is really low and due to this, everything seems expensive.

your thoughts?

If people earnt more .... wouldn't house prices just rise to reflect this ?
  • Not if tax concessions to multiple homeowners/BTL landlords were reduced.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is trolling?

Assuming you're being serious, they complain for the same reason people (and probably you too) complain about petrol, food, electricity, gas, etc. prices being too high. Is that really too difficult a concept to understand?

Depends if you mean the proper definition or the one people use here to signify they don't agree with something.

    troll:
One who purposely and deliberately starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark off such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue.

    Or........

    troll:
One of many unsung internet heroes who are almost entirely misunderstood. Contrary to popular belief, many trolls are actually quite intelligent. Their habitual attacks on forums is usually a result of their awareness of the pretentiousness and excessive self-importance of many forum enthusiasts. As much as people may hate trolls, they are highly effective - their actions bring much of the stupidity of other forum users out into the great wide open

    Take your pick.......:rotfl:
“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
