why do people complain about high house prices?

Would society be better off with more consumer debt or less?
Tricky question really. For the individuals in society, from a sociological standpoint I guess without more consumer debt for sure. But for society as a whole economically consumer debt would seem rather good, until the bubble bursts of course. I guess there just needs to be a balance, but we do not have one at the moment.

To keep this Board open.
If people stopped complaining, there would be so few posts they should shut it down.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

You'll find that prices have risen in most countries, especially fuel prices! Nothing odd about that. I'd like it if I could fill my car up for nothing - but there ain't such a thing as free lunch, love!
It amazes me when people complain about fuel prices,yet pay a £1 for a 500ml bottle of water.Official MR B fan club,dont go............................0 -

Maybe if they got off their backsides and stopped spending all their time writing boring old rubbish on sites such as this they might find they could earn a bit extra somewhere towards that lovely home they so desire!
All they do is vent their frustration and jealousy on these boards - and it's so boring to read.
All the millions of homeowners in this country are getting on with their lives and enjoying their homes - pity these boring have-nots couldn't do the same! Maybe they'd then find the means to enjoying themselves instead of cursing everyone who's more successful than they are.
