I'm so sorry I've just noticed my typo in this earlier post. I meant (of course) to write:... shanks is so pretty it's scary... :)

Ha ha nice comeback but your secretary has now gone on strike lets see how well you manage without her. Who else will put up with you, make you tea (even though you prefer coffee) and listen to your singing? You will be begging me to come back (again).
Heading off to work now its a real thought tonight but will catch up with you all tomorrow and we will see how we are doing with our latest "gate". Cant have a planner without one can we? Have a good eve all xx

it also has values for onions fried in lard so definitely caters to our plan I think - it's free to download too.

WEEZL READ THIS BEFORE YOU COOK 100g OF EVERYTHING IN YOUR CUPBOARD
It could be too late :rotfl:

so, we'd use that and then noone needs to cook anything?

    DH will be pleased :)

The other day there was a little pile of grated carrot set up on the window ledge (best place for photography)

DH: what's the grated carrot for lovely?
me: (thinking how susan had wanted grated photo on the website for the cake recipe, so answered in a way that made perfect sense to me) Susan.
DH: (puzzled) is she coming round?
Me: (even more puzzled) I severely doubt it she lives in Durham!

DH wanders away wishing he understood women :)

Okay weezl I've had a quick skim of the mccance and widdowson data base (and I mean quick) it does raw and cooked nutrients for some foods that we use eg white pasta raw, white paste cooked, bacon raw grilled etc. Porridge made with water, porridge made with milk and water etc.
It has masses of information on thousands of foods and brands in various states of raw and cooked all broken down into vitamins, minerals, acids etc etc. I don't completely understand it but there is a user guide

yes but I think what weezl needs is what does 100g of raw pasta cook into? 100g of rice...etc. Once you know that, then you can compute what the nutritional composition of the cooked weight is compared to the amount we are calling for in our recipes (which is given in raw weight). Clear as mud? :rotfl:
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!

Aless it also has values for raw. I would need to read the instruction manual to find out whether it is saying that 100g raw weight cooked equals or whether it's saying that 100g cooked weight equals
