Have watched it now.
I dont think Amy will be dead, so I think he will go back in time and save her. I dont have the emotional connection with her just yet whereas I sobbed when Billie Piper/Catherine Tate left. He's just not quite David Tennant is he?:(
It's funny how different people react/connect differently, isn't it ? I don't miss David Tennant at all any longer - Mr Smith totally took over the character for me. And the companion goes with - Catherine Tate was great, but both with her and with the Martha bint, I missed Billie - she went with David Tennant, and the rest were inadequate substitutes !0 -
For me, the 60p list might be interesting, but I wonder if a slightly side on approach to the same thing might work too. If you were teaching me to fish for subsistence ( which is different I think to normal frugal, which I can do), I think it would be useful to have some thoughts on what we have found gives the biggest bang for your buck, so to speak.
I think a page that tells you about the cheapest way to get proteins, vitamins, the minerals we looked at etc.
e.g. "Chickpeas and all pulses contain proteins and fibre. Especially in their dried form, they are one of the cheapest ways to get these nutrients."
"Tinned tomatoes are one of the cheapest ways to ensure everyone gets a red fruit and veg portion as they contain X portions per can."
It would also be a place where we could mention the foods that weren't included in the planner but we know to be very economical and stuffed with nutrients. Sardines spring to mind. It could also mention the very cheap 5 a day someone did, was it 18p?
This would then allow me and fellow fishists to construct menus based around these frugal foods.
I know for me my subsistencyness could be supported by this kind of pick and mix list that contains more foods than the shopping lists.
( Sorry if I'm not making a lot of sense today, I am rather over excited as I have just had the contract through for the sale of my business and, at the weekend, we had an offer accepted on a house on 2.2 acres, just outside town.. Business sale will mean we can afford this yrs mortgage and a year off:eek: /me wanders off singing tune from little house on the prairie)
Oh, and I am available for non geeky tasks ( I can do spreadsheets but not code things, or pivot tables and stuff.) OH is in flippin Toronto again.Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0 -

I hated Martha but you are right that Billie Piper was a brilliant assistant. I loved it when she popped up now and again. Their love story seemed 'epic' somehow.
I like Matt Smith but think the writing has been a bit patchy, with the exception of the stone angels-I had nightmares about them:rotfl: but I am a wuss and cant even watch midsummer murders:eek::oIn art as in love, instinct is enough

Congrats on the house :T:T:T:T
I like the idea of a page on frugal foods, i.e I hadnt realised plum tomatoes were cheaper than chopped, little things like that have made a huge difference to my shopping. For example my shopping bill for the two of us the other day was £25 and I bought two weeks worth of food, lots of salad and fresh veg and 5 salmon fillets and a bottle of wine.
I was quite proud of that and think it is down to being able to make more i.e pizza as well as knowing better ingredients to buy:)
I was very pleased with thatIn art as in love, instinct is enough

I'm always aware that he is acting, and I find his leaping about a bit irritating, much preferred Mr Tennant0 -

Hello everyone...
I have been busy working again, so not around here much
I would love to be part of the live chat... but I can only possibly make the Sunday, so I may not be able to attend.
I vaguely remember that this site used to have an online live chat facility, something that resembled flashchat, I believe.
But I have just had a bit of a look for it, and cant find it.
I dont believe FB has a group live chat facility. But you can do it via MSN
I am just about to pop out for a nice walk, and look for elderflowers.
I wasn't going to make elderflower cordial... but I have just had a bit of change of heart, and thought I would give it a wee try
And the walk will do me good anyway
2 Top tips....
1. DONT under any circumstances put fake tan on, without gloves
2. DONT under any circumstances, consume copious amounts of HM wine, prior to putting fake tan on your legs :eek::eek::eek::o
Relief factor of the top tips, is that only the legs were subjected to this outrageous behaviour
Off out for a walk now, with long trousers and a glove on :rotfl::rotfl::o0 -
