rainbow: Do you fancy putting together a reading list for shirl?

    No problem :)

    no time like the present....:D

Lurkers, testers, regulars and all - please send me a private message with your BOOK recommendations for Shirley!
ANYTHING you think might have some link to teaching Shirley how to fish (better, bigger, longer, etc!) will be considered!

    Particularly looking for:

    *Foraging/food for free
*Growing your own/allotments/window box food/small space food
    *THRIFT! of any subject
    *Make-do-and-mend
*Cookery books for people/families on a budget (ie: 'Paupers Cookbook')
    *Recycling/Freecycling/Freegan/Frugalistas
    *Making your own Gifts
...but if I've missed ANY subject that Shirley could benefit from, please do let me know and send your recommendations!

It would be great if you could include a sentance or 2 about WHY you think your suggested book(s) should be suggested to Shirley - and if you have any inspiring or funny stories attached to the book(s), please do let me know! :)

    Thanks all! :T

weezl - celery in a calzone? I confess I think it sounds hideous! :o if I hadn't have done capers, olives would have been my next go-to. Or to be REALLY lush, sundried toms. I'm sure just onions is fine, I was just being rebellious :D (and I put capers in just about everything!). I guess I just like the idea of a "thing" inside IYSWIM. Psychologically feels like more though I have no idea why. I struggle to think of anything else suitable on Kitty's budget though :(.

COOKED celery is much more YUM than raw/fresh, IMO...so although I've not tried the Calzone, I can see the relevance YUMYUMNOM...:o
