ok have changed both copies of nut butter recipe and the linkie words from cooking advice now.

Is it ok to leave it how it is in the meal planner table cos that's a fiddly change and it'll confuse me staring at that table, cos I'm staring a lot at the (new improved- friday hopefully) recipe one today?

    Hiya Jenny, welcome back :)

I'm a bit of a dummy today, but with the peanuts, I'm just not getting it!

with the nut butter, I'm happy to change the recipe title, but I just thought pumpkin seed butter sounded a bit more interesting, and explained why the picture is quite green! Like I'd be expecting something brown in a jar if the title said nut butter...

Erm, am I making any sense?

But don't worry about sounding patronising, just give me in real idiot proof language what the issue is there?

    xxx

eta: and so in the nut butter recipe it should say salted peanuts-right?

But then what if we get loads of emails about salt is bad blah blah, or I only have unsalted ones can I use those blah, blah...

Or would that not happen?! :D

I thought it could be confusing when clicking on nut butter and then seeing pumpkin seed butter, people might think they had the wrong recipe.

    SusanC's sugestion sounds good.

I understand getting emails about salt blah blah blah, but you have already explained on the website that it is a balanced diet. Its just that there are no plain peanuts listed in the shopping list and Shirl might think she has has forgotten to order them.

    Hope this makes sense

Fell off the wagon at the first hurdle, and a cash injection into the budget. However unexpected car costs have brought me back down to earth with a bump. so I will be trying to follow better from now on.
You all amaze me with having little ones etc and getting so much done, since having my granddaughter I dont seem to have been in the kitchen very much at all! Or anywhere else to be honest!. I am sure I did alot more when it was first time around with my children! I know I did everything from sctatch.!

DGD is officially being Fostered by me now! Its been 6 months today since she came to stay, for 3 weeks!
We bought a new bed for her, and she is up and down like a yoyo. but she is fine, talking so much, and so full of energy. Alas she also has the terrible two's tantrums and the No's!!
She also is a little more demanding on what food she likes, luckily Apples, bananas and grapes are high up on the list.
    Along with Pasta and peas!
I have downloaded some of your recipies, and the menu plan a while ago, and printed them off, as I work better with a recipie book then a computer screen. But still havent organised myself well enough to follow completely. Old habits etc, but now that the car is costing me over £500 this week, we are back in the pauper house so we better try harder!.

We could do with a volunteer/volunteers to come up with some 'alt text' for each picture on the site.

I'll just define the job a bit more so people aren't intimidated unnecessarily:

each picture needs a short (3-5 words max) description which is seen when you hover over the image, or which displays when the image is not there, or which is read out by a screen reading software for people who can't see the picture clearly.

Alt text is also useful because google robots check it to see if your site is legit.

So words like recipe, cheap, frugal, thrifty, budget are all useful, if the image is about that, and other than that it needs to be a basic description.

    examples-

    'golden oven-baked tart'
    'thinly-sliced onion rings'

    or (costings page)

    'save a pile of pounds!'

anyone interested? please see my secretary for more details...

errr hang on.... shanks! shanks! ACAS won't resolve a petty singing dispute! Get off the phone!

Oh!:o Is it Simon Cowell......? :).... He wants me on Britain's got talent?.....:D

Well, cough:o..... obviously I love to give Joe Public a bit of joy in their life with my angelic tunes....
