I'm so glad I'm not Shirley. And can afford wine. Hic !
Oh I so wish I could have wine. I'm on a diet (something I swore I would never ever do as it is one that a consider a 'fad' but hey ho..) and so wine is off the cards. Just have a tiny glass for me Allegra:D

BTW, the new feature is a beaut, and the site looks better without the grey squares. They were getting on my wick when I was trying to copy and paste text only to print off the recipes
So text-only print versions of recipes are a must for Shirl, I'd say !

Had the worst evening in the kitchen in about ten years, and lost my Pyrex jug in the process. I loved that jug
On the up side, pasta con funghi - once I finally managed to get it on the table instead of smearing it all over the floor - was very, very nice. !!!!!! thought it was a nice change :j and I was shocked that I could not remember last time we had mushrooms ! I love mushrooms.
Weezl, I need some executive decisions here, me lovelyWhere do you want me to go with the whole cooking advice/batch cooking thing ? Should I keep the cooking advice as it is on the website atm, just tidy up, add info and reword where necessary, and keep the batch list separate ? Or should I incorporate ? Warn you though, it'll be awfully long if I do !
Furthermore, do you want me to do timed versions of the other weekend batch cookin days ? Or anything else at all, for that matter ?
Oh! How did the jug die? How horrid
Very Glad that !!!!!! liked the pasta
I attended a course on writing for the web, and they made it pretty clear that most users prefer shorter pages, with options to click things to see more info. Big pages scare readers! So I think, let's keep them seperate, with a linkie to the batch day from the general cooking advice.
I'm torn about the other batch days...
spoon feeding shirl for each of them might be a bit like 'give a man a fish and feed him for a day' whereas to be effective she's obviously got to figure it out for herself a bit more... Plus is a lot of work for you!!!! Will mull a little more on that in my bath
Please can I have some anti-colic vibes for a very troubled Kester, and some soothing teeth vibes for fergie, and a soothing vibe for mummy weezl's who are concerned about fergie's childminder(it's been a tough day here folks

The cook with two left hands dropped it on the floor whilst full of oily sauce. The mess was unbelievable

Can do. If I aim to keep each bit to no more than an A4 when printed, how does that sound ? I can do shorter, but then I have to assume a lot about Shirley's clued-upedness regarding cooking, and may lose some effectiveness. Either way - let me know what you want, and I'll get it done.

How's about I write a couple of hundred words on how I compiled the first batch day, and let her choose if she wants to put it into practice for other days ?

Good vibes coming your way, Weezl :grouphug:0 -
I had a look for the cordial recipe, but cant seem to find it
After a quick google, it seems that the ingredients is lemons, sugar and water.
I know Poohbear did make some, with the bottles of lemon juice that had been sent to her as a substitute for lemons... but I am not sure of the quantities used.
Sorry, thats not very helpful, but maybe someone will have made it before, and be able to help
I used weezl's recipe but I only had one lemon left and lots of lemon juice so I followed the recipe and substituted lemon juice from a bottle. My sons loved it and said it is particularly good when made with hot waterbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

How are you going on the challenge to get B12 into the vegan diet?
I did wonder whether they could have houmous on oatcakes for lunch?
Made with oats & Ready Brek & oil?
Just a thought.
This is the recipe Makes about 20.
140g ready brek
140g porridge oats
10 twists of black pepper
½ tsp salt
75ml vegetable oil
10g finely grated grano pandano or adjust amount to taste (optional)
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas mark 4 and dust two baking trays with flour. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Pour the oil into a well in the centre, then pour in enough boiling water to bind it into a firm, not sticky, dough. Work quickly. Don't worry if you over-water a bit - you can remedy the situation by adding more ready brek.
Form the dough mixture into a ball and leave it to rest . Roll out the dough on a floured surface (dust with flour or ready brek, too, if it's sticky) to about 5mm thick.
Cut out discs with a cookie cutter (I use a 6cm one). Place on the baking trays and bake for 20 minutes, then turn and bake for a further five to 10 minutes. Cool on a rack. Store in an airtight container.
yummy! I try to make them to last a day or two but they disappear really fast. This was my attempt to get some ready brek into DS2 who doesn't eat cake and was a tired of scones.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
