Also, to the uniform. I've been moaning because DD and DS1s school has just become a federation and despite saying there would be no uniform change, guess what I've got to buy in September, 2 new sets of as yet unspecified uniform, but will include blazers. DS1s (he is currently Y7) fits him fine now and was bought plenty big enough for next year plus he had the sweatshirts and other things from DD to grow into. DD (Y9) didn't really need anything either and they
I don't really know anything about federations, but when uniforms at my schools have changed in the past, there has always been a period of time for parents to adjust and 'use up' clothes they'd already bought. It may be worth asking about this.
Also, were parents not asked about their views re uniform? You could go through your parent governor. Fortunately, both DSs (and children at the school where I work) have a fairly low cost uniform. I can buy everything apart from the sweatshirts in George/Primark/Matalan.
Actually, you've made me think. DS1's school will open as a new build with a new name after Christmas. DS1 is leaving this year and it's going to be another 5 years before DS2 starts there , but I wonder what the uniform will be like. Cheap and cheerful, I hope.
I've de-webbed ceiling and walls (down to dado rail) in LR. Fireplace and mantel are clean and tidy, with DS2's Easter eggs neatly stacked, and the floor is clear, ready for hoovering. DS2 has asked for a cuppa, so I'll have a short break.0 -

DS's friend is poorly so we've just had tears as he can't come so my nephews are coming over instead. DD's friend has already arrived.
I've made quite an inroad into the LR but once my nephews appear that will be the end of that.

Update as of 11.10am
I've been a busy little bee, and yes I have phoned the Dr and I've even been to see him too. I got a friend to stay in the house while I was up the surgery. I was happy cos it was the "nice" Dr, although it might have had something to do with me saying I have a lump and can I see Dr blah a.s.a.p. please? They were very accommodating..lol In the meantime I have to wait for an appointment from the hospital, although he did say it wouldn't be very long, probably by the end of the week I should hear. The scary thing is he didn't say either way what it was which I didn't like. I did ask him if it could be a cyst and he said I had better wait until I have had the appointment at the hospital..aaah!!! Now he spooked me..
It's absolutely glorious outside and if I didn't have to wait in for deliveries I would harness up the doggies and go for a lovely long walk with them, but unfortunately I can't so I will have to be satisified by watching the washing blowing on the line

I don't really know anything about federations, but when uniforms at my schools have changed in the past, there has always been a period of time for parents to adjust and 'use up' clothes they'd already bought. It may be worth asking about this.
Also, were parents not asked about their views re uniform? You could go through your parent governor
This is what the Federation website STILL says: "No - it is not proposed to change the uniforms of year 8-11 students in 2010. We will work with parents and students to determine the best way to create a unifying identity for the partnership students between now and September 2010. "
However, they have since decided that as the 2010 year 7 intake will all attend my kids school (as will the 2011 intake) that a new uniform is necessary. We got a letter home giving us a choice of 3 options to vote on and if I remember correctly, the letter said "as most(?) parents renew uniform for the new school year, a new uniform for all pupils up to year 10 would have little cost implication". Then the latest letter "More information about the limited change to uniform for our current students will be given once the Governing Body have made their final decision.
In order to minimise the cost of Summer uniform for this year, Rumours have agreed to sell items at cost price. " - I bet they have, otherwise how are they going to off-load them?:( Of course I sent a note with my vote expressing my views very politelybut they have already decided and if I kick up a fuss, my kids could be the only ones wearing the old uniform for the next 4 years, I bet I'd be popular with them:D. Not very :money:is it?
Rant over, sorry. I am going to shuffle off and unload the DW and put on some washing.Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

Have been out and done a food shop after dropping hubby off at work. Its all away and just waiting on oven heating up for an early lunch as i had no breakfast.
Healing thoughts winging their way to your DS Dusty, hope he is ok. Must have been scary for you all.
Good luck Diva and Natty.
Nice to see you back Rose.
Continued thoughts and prayers for Sandy.

Back from my HHC, I didn't do the ironing but I did hang the washing out, bring one load indoors as it had dried totally, washed up and watered the plants. I also feather dusted the peace lilly plant as it was dusty. Hmm doesn't look a lot

My HHC turned into a well- um, whats the time? Still, it's looking good. I've not read the thread today as we have two friends from school coming to play. It was just decided on FB:) Its nice because the three of us mums get on really well. In fact I sometimes wonder if we dont get on better than the kids. We were going to do the park but as Im needing lots of wee's Im not so keen. So I offered my house. It'll be the first time "post wedding Ive let anyone in". Ive been updating them on my flylady doings and they saw the house pre wedding:) So Im looking forward to seeing what they think of flylady.Ive given them the link to the thread and kinda hope they get involved themselves:) At any rate, I have to shower still so I promise I will catch up on the thread later today.
As for my list, I've done my morning routine and there is now no more washing in the basket :j Lets see what the rest of it looks like:
