Bedding transferred to wardrobe on thelanding.. half a shelf unit cleared!!

What to do with the bedding that no longer fits any of my beds??? I have sorted a few of the baby bits I've bought into a box that used to contain christmas stuff.. and found 2 empty boxes to fling!

Another binbag for charity shop filled... I haven't even got to look at the clothes I have strewn about yet either!! I have some shoes to sort too.. and a gorgeous black velvet per una coat somewhere in the depths of the wardrobe!

travel cot think we have still got ours in the garage so will send dh in there later (is too dangerous for me to go in there are strange and spooky things live in there!)(with sheets and bedding), changing mat and box for baby toiletries to dump at his mothers!! Not sure if it would be sensible to have a bouncy chair type thing there.. will sort high chair for when Squeak is bigger.

Cotbed and crib bedding.. cream or beige please! lol.. nappy bucket can't find the lid for mine.. ggggrrrrr. might also have a nappy bucket with a lid - again in the garage so will have to see if dh can find it - have seen the bucket recently but not the lid

Soappie/AnW'sMum thanks or the Toots update I was starting to worry too.

We finally found a paint colour we like (well it is the best of the 6 we tried) so DH is busy painting

Party done with DS3, popped into ASDA and got him some flip flops which he has been asking for since last summer only £2 and very nice ones.

I just need to tidy up in the front garden and cut the grass
    Get the washing in
    Feed the cats
A pile of ironing as DH needs some of it to take away tomorrow

Triker/Kaz - I need to do a bootsale; can you give me some tips on pricing as I've not done one in about 10 years - thanks

Sorry me again:o Got a question if that's ok. I'm sure it is covered somewhere but is it ok to do things in the wrong order? Will you still get your stars?
I have got to do my bathroom tomorrow before the bath toys up and leave:eek:

  • Well, after dropping 3 marks due to the cat hitting enter on an online component of my course before I had answered the question , I gave up and went to bed. Got up this morning to find I needed to go and get splats some crunchies for tomorrow morning. Went and caught bus, but went AWOL as I remembered I would be going past a rather nice garden centre (not one of those flogging plastic chairs and ride on mowers, one that actually sells UK grown plants).

Tried arguing with myself (silently, I'm not MAD, you know!) that I should do the responsible thing, I always grow tomatoes and salad and strawberries and beans and herbs on my balcony. But just this once, I did what I really wanted.

The tomato tub is now home to a rose bush. The bean tub has a lavender in it and the hanging basket is sporting some tumbling sweet peas.

Once the daffs and tulips are done in the window boxes, I will be putting in geraniums.

I [STRIKE]might[/STRIKE] will still do a few herbs and maybe some lettuce, but I am keeping my one little patch of peace for decoration and perfume only!

Other than that, binned tons of old junk from the kitchen (why did I think I needed 7 tubs for storing cereals in?) and currently relaxing after a Salade Niçoise and an entirely unnecessary glass of Waitrose Champers :D whilst the cat snores on my feet.

    Sometimes, I like Sundays.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Best thing is to get round one and see what people are charging.

Vast difference today where one person was charging 20p per book, all new decent paperbacks or 6 for a £1 whereas another person wanted £1 per paperback.

We charged 30p each or 4 for £1.

clothes again, £3/4 per item second hand down to 20p to 50p...

Someone had a tent that had a broken piece in the frame, bought it for £99 expected to get £60 for it... I didn't see it sell and I walked past their stall a few times.

My new Tefal electric steamer with instructions was £2....another stall had a no name smaller steamer with a label asking £5

Its difficult to call really, we go for middle to lower end pricing because my philosphy is we need to get rid and its just lying around doing nothing whereas whatever we sell it for its gone and generated some income.

Good quality childrens clothes and toys seem to get sold very quickly, obviously a lot of people come with their little ones and they want the toys.

Any 'name' clothes go too, marks and spencer, per una, Next, and sports clothes like Nike all seem to fly out.

    Dusty,

I price buy what I think I can get / I don't want to take home again.

I personally would suggest you keep an open mind, think of price that you would like, when a buyer asks how much, say (x), the buyer might then offer some thing below that, and if you are happy take it.

IMO do NOT accept £50 notes not matter what excuse they give you, I also am very suspision of anyone buying some for about 50p and giving me a £20 note, I just go, sorry I don't have any change, there are too many fraud notes out there.

Get there early to get set up. Take change with you, if you can leave the pets at home, take your own food and drink as it is cheaper and you know the standard it was made to!! pasting table or similar to put your items of interest on, (clothes rail, / sheet for the ground)
