Top news! :T :T :T :T
Snuck off early from work (well I got permission) because having touted round ALL my colleagues and done any little bits of dribs and drabs they had (I very sadly got excited when I had a whole 10 minutes worth of photocopying to do - I was almost praying for the photocopier to develop a particularly nasty paper jam or something so that I could spend some time fiddling with it but sadly, it behaved) there was just nothing to do.
So I'm going to potter about this afternoon.
Having reflected on Southampton tomorrow evening I think it's probably a no-no. Southampton are playing Charlton at home. As Charlton are a London club, they'll probably stay in town before heading back up north so it'll be orribly busy. Perhaps another weekend.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Well that DID NOT go to plan. We left at 10am and crawled up the M/way. Stuck in the boring 50 limit bit, yawn, yawn. Thought it was quiet in the back and then DS2 decided to be travel sick. Spectacularly, and all over himself and my car. Absolutely nothing I can do but keep driving 5 miles till the next exit so we only made it as far as J28 where I had to buy him new trousers and t-shirt to travel home in. My car stinks of sick
. DS1 is fuming because he wanted to go to Hotel Chocolat and have adrink and a cake with the 'star ladies'. I am sad for poor DS2 who feels rough and guilty. Oh yuck  Poor DS, poor you!
I hope that you were not fretting as to where we were. Mostly stuck in the toilets at McArthur Glen trying to clean a small boy up. He did this a month ago as well but has never done it before. Why get to 5 and suddenly start being car sick?
Time for a HHC to clean out my car and his car seat, but I need a cup of tea first. And a gas mask...
Notso, Rugby is half an hour from me. Which puts it out of DS2s spew free travelling distance.
Ah, but we could always choose somewhere closer to you, ie. within range, I can travel no probs. Thankfully my boys are fine in the car, even if they read. Only had 1 car sickness event, about 4 years ago, just after we had them and we were going to north Wales to meet up with a friend. Because it was a long journey, we, in our wisdom, decided to break it up with food breaks. Bad idea! Youngest, who was 5, threw up all over eldest, then 7.
....he took it quite well, considering
.
Now we just jump in & go & keep going....stop for toilet breaks if we really have to. The boys have travelled all the way to Bournemouth, or Gatwick, or Manchester (just thinking back over all the long car journeys we have had).
Mind you, it's a good job they are good in the car, it's a 15min car journey to school.....:D
NotsoI'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSE
so just call me Notso.....
Yes, I'm juggling and I might drop some.... but at least I'm trying

:j:j:D:D:T:TKIDS ROOMS ARE DONE!!!!!! :j:j:D:D:T:T
Finally, ended up having a fight with DS1's bed trying to get it turned around. The room is VERY small and he wanted the bed moved around so the headboard is were the footboard was if you know what I mean. Remind me NEVER to shift his room round again, its a bloody nightmare. But it's done now and both rooms are shiny and sparkly clean and tidy!!!
next big job is going to be either getting the garden tidied up or our bedroom. I think, with the weather getting nicer, I'll try and do the garden over the weekend then they can be kicked out there with their little freinds while I do our room. An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will

Right.
I can't put it off any longer.
The cupboard under the stairs is of doomlike proportions once more. I'm sure I have a stash of kitchen towel in there somewhere but I can't see it there's so much clutter.
I'm going in. - I may be some time!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

In that case Froddy... is there somewhere better/easier to meet between you and me? It looks as if my walk isn't going to be QUITE the marathon we'd originally envisaged so hopefully I won't be too exhausted!Having reflected on Southampton tomorrow evening I think it's probably a no-no. New pillows (M&S) bought for spare room bed as the ones in the loft were a bit flat. Also got a bed cushion to finish off the look.
Since I've been out, OH has finished off the shelves in the airing cupboard (yay, I can put the towels etc in there now), and has bisselled the living room floor to get rid of the soot from the carpet.
Ebony is on our bed asleep and has been told he's not allowed in the spare room - so far so good - he isn't interested in going in there since he's had a look around.
New bedding set is drying on the line, and cat blanket is in the TD to get rid of stray bits of fur left on it.
Need to do the bathroom next I think.
