There's another pickledpink AE on the go now: pineapplefool
So for future reference:
pineapplefool = breadlinebetty = thermidor = honeypopper = rumbaba = pickledpink . And a few more I should imagine.
So a multitude of identities but just the one deranged person. Careful now!0 -

There is absolutely no need for that. Do you behave towards people like that in real life too? I'd imagine you must be very lonely if you do.0 -

Harrow is in MIDDLESEX!! The people of Harrow may pay their council taxes to a London Borough - but they - themselves - live in Middlesex!!!!
You stupid fool:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Local authority councils - county councils are made up of boroughs.
I gave you a list of the districts that make up Surrey last week;) When you thought much of greater London was in Surrey:rotfl:
Think of it as bars of chocolate in a selection box, your selection box is London, within it are various bars, each one a borough of London.

We bought at the peak just outside Brixton <groan> - when we paid over 200k for a 1-bed. That said the market has dropped now and the area is getting nicer all the time (especially since nearby areas like clapham, balham and dulwich are getting really expensive) - so we hope it will end up having been a good investment.
It's worth looking at any investments that area being made in an area to see where it's headed - ie. could it be the 'next big thing'? The thing about London is because more people are moving here all the time the 'desirable' areas are always spreading and growing...0 -
I'm in SE1 (*gasp* South East London - how do I cope!!!!) but i'm actually 4 mins walk from the London Eye and there's amazing transport links, great local parks, bars, restaurants, museums etc. I can also be in the West End within 10 mins by Tube or 30 mins if I walk.
Plenty of MPs (5 mins or so walk to parliament) and professional types live around here, but there's also a fair amount of social housing. Having said that I've never ever encountered any problems (touch wood) and my family and I all feel perfectly comfortable with walking to and from home at all times of the day. Being able to hear Big Ben from your living room is also fun ;-)
The irony is if we were just a couple of hundred metres away on the other side of the river in Westminster, our home would have cost double!Light bulb moment 04/05 with a debt of £5,800. DFD: 07/05/2006. Student loan (finally) paid off 30/06/08.
2016 - 10 years debt free!!!!

Jesus Christ on a bicycle, I thought threads only degenerated this badly in the debate board/DT! I've read it all and been pretty amused that people think it is important whether or not a place is council/borough/surrey/middlesex! Maybe you have to live in London to get it *confused smiley*Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0
