Creditexpert problem

Hi I've got a problem with my creditexpert report.

I want to apply for a credit card, so I decided to check my report online (free 30 day trial- 2nd one in last 2 years).

I'm registered on electoral roll in last three addresses:

Entry Number:E1
Local Authority: ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES
Address: XXXX Road, KINGSTON UPON THAMES, XXXX
Names and dates: No Names Listed on Voters Roll

Entry Number:E2
Address XXXX STREET, KINGSTON UPON THAMES, SURREY,
Names and dates: No Names Listed on Voters Roll

Entry Number:E3
Local Authority: ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES
Address: XXXX ROAD, KINGSTON UPON THAMES, SURREY,
Names and dates: No Names Listed on Voters Roll

However in none of those entries is there a flat number or a house name... only name of the street...

And on first page of my report:

Are you registered on the electoral roll at your current address..............................No

How do I correct this?
I'm just wondering, because last year I was declined for a current account (100pounds for transfering, thought it was worth it...).... which seemed odd, because I met all the requirements.
Could it be the reason for my decline?

Because everything else seems fine, no missed payments in last 3 years (new to the uk, moved in about 2yrs4mnths ago), 1 credit card (always clear the balance- now want to get another that I won't clear-- just to keep small balance and build my credit history further).

But just wondering if this can be a key thing stopping me from getting a credit card.

Not full information on my addresses that I'm registered on my electoral roll(which I heard was very important in getting a decent credit card).

before I order my Experian Credit Score for 6quid, I want to check if I need to first correct that information...

Bit confused you say that you have not missed a payment for 3 years then say you are new to UK 2 years 4 months - which is it?

If it is the latter then you may find it difficult to get a prime lender to issue you with a card until you have been here 3 years.

As for the credit report phone them up and ask is all I can suggest.

true. I meant that I never missed a payment ever. 3yrs was a period that I thought was important.

I know I haven't been here 3 years, that's why I'm not going to apply for amex or anything like that... just hoping for maybe lloyds duo card, just to have smth from the card... and lloyds is my bank anyway, so shouldn't be that hard I hope.
I've got some classic lloyds cc, which is not even listed on their website, so I don't get anything from them. in total I've got 3 credit accounts (mobile contract, cc, and current account which is not really a credit account)

just wondering about the electoral roll information, anyone knows landline number to them? last time I called them to cancel my membership I was charged 2 pounds for the call on my mobile...:)

LLoyds will not touch you unless you have been here 3 years.

even though I'm with them for 2years, 4 months, I have a cc with them, never missed a payment, I'm registered on my electoral roll, have the same job for past 2 years and 4 months, etc?

Yes - lending policy with no way to appeal.

    weird.
when i worked in amex they had no problems with lending to people who are even 6 months in the UK... really weird.
I guess only capital one will take me? or any other suggestions?:) Cap one wouldn't be the best card even for smalll balances, with their 40% aprs :)

Don't pay £6 for your credit rating it's a waste of money that doesn't mean anything. You need to sort your address out so it shows you are on the electoral register.

yeah but I like numbers... 6 pounds is not a lot, but at least i would know where I really stand... Because I'm doing everything I can to improve my credit rating, so just want to know if it's not a waste of time:)

what about sainsburys card with their nectar points? most of my shopping I do in sainsburys anyway, i know i won't be accepted for amex nectar card... so thinking of either sainsburys cc, or lloyds duo which as jonesMUFCforever said is a waste of time, coz I wasnt here long enough.

ok so finally wasted my money, score is:

    Your Experian Credit Score was
    849

Which puts me in FAIR category...

You make all your repayments on time and in full - no accounts have been paid late in the past six months
You are on the electoral roll (registered to vote) at your current address
You don't have any county court judgments and you have not been declared bankrupt in the last six years

as far as electoral question goes, experian is just crap... the whole system is bit !!!!!!....
because I called electoral roll, they told me I was added 1st of April, and today they finally added me on experian.. however, I don't get why I wasn't registered on my previous address. I was added in july last year, only now it was updated that I was registered there. So someone didn't have right info or didn't send it.

    it shouldn't happen.

which CC should I apply now?
Sainsburys (shop at sburys+ long interest free period), lloyds airmiles duo (went to kt branch, but they had noone available.. waste of time), or in the beginning just crap Cap One card? any suggestions?

BTW I thought that number will give me some more... not only a number:) I was hoping for like "suggested" credit cards (I know, ads and crap)....

because "lower my bills" is really a stupid tool, because they don't really give you proper information and is just a marketing tool.
I hoped if I pay 6 pounds I will get smth more:)

But true. Number generator only. Used it, happy that I did, but definately not anymore:) I knew it's a waste of money anyway
