Bad news - stuck in Dusseldorf. Am in a hotel but not much time left for sleep. Have to be up at four to go to the Airport.
Good news is that I did meet some interesting people . and had conversations with them. One guy is off to Italy to look at diving suits - he has a construction business in Holland but wants to start the diving business - and it makes his heart sing. We had a nice chat about it over dinner. Asversity can be a very postive thing after all.
Going to my room now.

This was written yesterday, at Warsaw Airport - could not post.

I have been having really hard time. Sitting at Warsaw Airport and sending wishes to all higher powers and all supreme beings I can recall. When one is so tired and when a miracle of impressive proportions is needed if I am to get to my home, to my bed, all that is left is indiscriminate mysticism.
Last night I had to spend in Dusseldorf. After sleeping for about three hours I got in the shower (there are standards, after all) and hopped in a taxi back to the Airport. And a good job this was – there was already a line for changing tickets. Managed to get myself on a flight to Warsaw leaving Dusseldorf at 7.10 and it was late. In fact none of us believed that we are going to go anywhere till we were airborne.
This meant that I was late for the key note – people were relying on me opening the conference. Changes in the programme were made and the key note was delivered albeit couple of hours late. I did manage to pull it off somehow, interestingly I am not feeling totally shuttered at the moment either (although I did catch myself throwing my passport in a bin instead of an empty plastic bottle). Just wish for this miracle to happen and to get home tonight. Spending nights at Airport hotels, interesting as it may be, is not recommended in large dozes and regularity.
I am more interested why is this happening? What is the Universe telling me? Could it be telling me that I should not talk about the things I talk about at the moment (irrespective of how good I may be in it)? Is the Universe telling me that I should focus on something else? Do we believe in co-incidence? Or even regularity – it is winter after all and the weather is expected to be bad; and flying is always affected.
I may be tired after all.

No you are good at what you do. Err that's too humble, shut up kit- You are brilliant at what you do. I can feel it from here. That's why you were invited to be the Opening Speaker. You have spent an exhausting few days doing what most of stress about when we have weeks to prepare. You are tired. The Universe is blooming proud of you. Stay strong hope you get home tonight. Will pray. Well done for your weekend do rest as much as possible next week. Hugs, sw.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Well done Firewalker! :j
And remember - not everything that happens is the universe trying to tell you something significant. Sometimes the weather's just bad...

Hi Everyone
I just got back from Kampala yesterday. How quickly 2 months have gone! Firewalker I have been lurking on your diary - as always I have really been enjoying it.
Fieldwork went very well indeed, I met some wonderful people and found so many interesting stories and angles for research. After the initial shock of being there I made some very nice friends and enjoyed myself really a lot. Where tricky things came up I think I handled it well, trying to be true but also drawing on my resources.
Much has shifted in my mindset since the first days of Memorygirl's thread and I feel all the better for it. I feel a lot less afraid of going outside my "comfort zone". I used to think happiness was about the big things, and hurry through each stage of my life to get to the next. I'd like to slow down and enjoy the journey this time around.

Perhaps you had to be there for this meeting if not for yourself then for them.
And it is not what happens to us, it is if we RE ACT to it or ACT to it. First being repeating old patterns and not going anywhere and the second making fresh choises and hence moving forward."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
