When I got married in Feb this year I left my Hubby a Box on the dining room table to open the night before the wedding. It had a bottle of his favourite beer and a nice pint glass - so he could have a drink to calm lastminute nerves, a card with a lovely poem about my hopes for our future together and a set of nice new clean underwear/sock for him to wear on the day itself.

Nothing expensive or flashy - but he thinks about it (albeit briefly) everytime he uses the glass and wears the underwear/socks.

    ;)
actually - that does sound a nice idea

i suprised my hubby on our wedding day, and got him 3 red roses delivered to where he was getting ready-one for the past, present and future.

(i too had also made sure previously he had brought new pants and socks to wear!!)

I saw a nice idea on the internet - watch or pocket watch engraved with...

"see you at 2pm" (or whatever time the ceremony is at)

I though that was a great idea!

  • What a nice upbeat thread. AAAwwwww, how sweet. Young (or old) love. Sigh (vaguely remembers some romantic moment whilst doing the routine wahing up....finds a nice mouldy plate under bed. no, wait. It's gone) . Makes a change from the normal tales of woe.

Many thanks, there's some great ideas here.

I think a box with a few goodies in sounds like a good idea especially if it contains underwear and something to calm his nerves! I agree with Woby_Tide that he gets me so what else does he need but I also get him so that counterbalances out ;o).

I'm definately also going to get someone to buy a newspaper for me on the day so that I can use that next year towards an anniversary present.

We're in our 30's by the way so not quite young or old love ..... more somewhere in the middle - still great though.

Good luck to anyone else also getting married soon - hope you're not as nervous as me ..... eeek !!
