5000 Free Nectar Points - American Express - Nectar Credit Card

Sorry for going round in circles here but where on the amex site can I read about "5,000 points" being awarded. I swear I found it the other day and all I get now is the application 1st screen with no mention of points being awarded in the T&Cs available through a link, on same screen.
Quidco says it can take up to 10 days to track btw .... but I am not sure about the link changing approach.0 -
Hi I'm a first time user to the forum, but ive been reading the website for months, and i also bought the book.
Ive been collecting nectar points slowly for about 2 years, through doing my weekly shopping at sainsburys and petrol from BP (or sainsburys)but since getting the nectar credit card from american express my points have rocketed. Me and my wife pay for all our food and petrol on this joint card, then pay the full balance each month, which keeps our own money in our account longer to gain a little intrest. We have now reached 71,000 points and our aim is 101,000 points so we can claim a 24" phillips LCD TV for free. So 5,000 is a good start to get you on your way.
cheers for now0 -

The AMEX site does not as far as I am aware state the 5000 points. It is in the email sent out by The Mutual Net. Using the link should get you the points. Ref changing the URL yep was not too sure myself but if you don't try you'll never know !!!Saving the planet whilst saving pennies !!!!!!!0 -

What you need to do is log onto Quidco as normal, select the Finance section and then select AA Card. You then have to click onto the "click here to visit this merchant and earn cashback.
Once here click on the home page link at the top left, Click on the personal cards and then select from the the "APPLY FOR ANOTHER CARD" section the AMEX Credit card. This will allow you to select the nectar card in the box below. Click on apply now and it will take you to the Nectar card page. By now you should have clicked on all the right links to qualify for the Quidco money. Now insert the following in the Address link at the top of your IE and press go. This has a reference in it as far as I can see " MUT&AFFID" which is the reference for the 5000 points, which should guarentee you the full points. I am now going to do this myself just to prove it does work !!! This should bring my card count to 10001 !! You must insert and then click and not just click on below as it will bypass the Quidco references.

Just to let you know,as I have got a nectar card and registered for emails from them,i applied for the 5000 points mentioned in the email online, there was a problem with the first page of the site,so i rang them and applied by phone. They asked me for a reference off the email but there wasnt one. They say they will apply the points manually.I will keep a check on it. I am going to do the same as im Sparticus,do all my shopping on it,pay it off without incurring charges each month, and claim my nectar points when there are extra gains to be had.0

How do I apply for Nectar Amex from Quidco? When I click to apply from Quidco it takes me automatically to the page to sign up for a platinum card. If I return to the homepage and select nectar card, will this still track?0
