  • Howdy all, hope you are all bearing up under the snow.

Well, I did a bit of the decluttering I said I would do; am half ready for Xmas; have lost about 5lbs of the stone I was going to shed and am a gnats whisker away from the all important DEBT FREEDOM!!! It will be tight because water and leccy are both due  and I feel weirdly scared of making the last payment so have put it off from today, but I think I should do it tomorrow.
£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
    Sealed Pot #389 (2010=£133)

Wow PAID - what a great Xmas present - to be debt free! All going well, I hope to be in your position next year. Are you going to celebrate?

Ah, didn't realise you were so close to your DFD PAID.
I know how you feel about making that last payment...but DO IT!!! :)
I'm in the same situation as CMD, wanting to be DF before next Xmas, it'll be hard work and not sure if achievable but that'll be my goal now. (That's adding 2mnths to DFD that I wanted...)

Anyway, am getting closer, cos I have now paid off my s.loan (for those who haven't checked my diary recently)!!! Celebrated that with a drink at home, I know how to party... ;)

Not bad thanks CMD. DD is very excited for Christmas and asks every day if it's Christmas today!! I'm determined to get rid of my debt by next year as I am really sick of it now.

    How's things with you??

Aw that is so cute :)

I am so over the debt as well. I really really want it gone by next year. I am good - we are going to Scotland next week, as I have an interview there.

  • Hi guys, sorry to have posted and run before, thank you all for the lovely messages.

Well, due to being crazy busy at work and not wanting to go out in the cold the payment is still pending, I won't be able to do it tomorrow or tuesday as am out of the country, but Wednesday....

Do really want to get on and do it though, am over the fear and all about the get-rid now.

Hang on in there the next year gang, it really, really feels fantastic and a huge weight off my mind. Now I want to get money saved 'just in case'. We had some redundancies at work over the last week and I have a hunch it might not be the last. I am probably fairly secure but never sat never and all that.

Oh, and you asked if I was celebrating? Hell yes, many times.
