I've never experienced that problem. However, I 've sometimes had problems viewing my account immediately after making a phone call. I think that this is due to account information being updated as a result of the call .0 -
I just opened a new First Direct account after deciding to switch from Bank of Scotland after being with them for 22 years. So, switching is not a decision I took lightly. So far so good - the account was set up very quickly, within a fortnight of applying I already have a debit card, cheque book etc. The telephone banking experience to activate my account at the weekend was far better than BoS in terms of apparent willingness to help and a clearly knowledgeable person on the other end of the phone. So far First Direct have created a very good first impression with this new customer. Now I'll see how the switching process itself goes in terms of direct debits / salary etc, hopefully a painless process.0
