First Direct Current Account - Opinions (Good & Bad)

It was a sensible question! - My current bank 'Cahoot' don't post out statements, you need to print them off yourself.
Thanks
Statements arrive in the post, but like all financial institutions, they try really hard to make you feel guilty about destroying the rainforest when all they really want is to cut costs. Once you have chosen to go paperless, you will never be able to go back.

ps I receive separate statements in separate envelopes for each of my accounts! Some accounts are e-accounts, in which case no statements are sent out, but the basic current account (The Bank Account, as they call it) gets statements.0 -
I notice their current account is no called '1st Account', I assume this is the same as the account they call 'The Bank Account' ?0

I used to be with FD and loved them-unfortunately they didn't love me back when I went bankrupt(didn't owe them any money-they just don't like bankrupt customers).I'm hoping that once the 6 years have passed(3 to go) they will have me back.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

I have a question about first direct while we're here.
It says it wants £1500 a month credited to it, can you (like a Halifax Reward Account) get to this figure by crediting a lesser salary amount, transferring like £1000 of it out to another bank and then crediting it back to the FD account the day later?
Or do they require the £1500 monthly payment comes in one lump sum from your employer?0 -
No, it's just a total of £1500 credited per month from outside FD.crispy_chris wrote: »It says it wants £1500 a month credited to it, can you (like a Halifax Reward Account) get to this figure by crediting a lesser salary amount, transferring like £1000 of it out to another bank and then crediting it back to the FD account the day later?

There's a monthly fee for any month in which you don't credit £1500, but if you have any other FD product the fee is waived, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how much you use the other product (so you could open a savings account and leave it empty, but you better check that, I might be wrong!).
