    :D what?

What he's going to get up to at weekends is not relevant

It is if he wishes to restrict his availability for work.
    Gone ... or have I?

    LOL.

If you want to explain why it isn't instead of saying "no it isn't" then please do.

It just isn't relevant. A person wants to be available 9-5 mon to fri, you really think the jobcentre are going to ask what their plans arefor the weekends?

You can state you aren't available to work weekends provided your job goals are not normally weekend working, ie retail would mean nearly always a weekend so you would not be able to restrict but admin work is normally mon - fri. Same as saying bar work but not available after 5pm. The two have to go hand in hand.

    Exactly. 'reasonable prospects'

what you do in your 'free time' is none of their business

I'm stunned that a JSA claimant can turn down any work unless it's due to disability!! I work 60 hrs a week self employed to keep a roof over my family's heads, have no social life, and certainly can't pick and choose what contracts I accept because of an amateur sporting pass time!!!

My hubby works 70+ hours per week. I work 30 hours but fit in with the kids and all the extra activities that come with it. We all make some sort of sacrafic when we have kids. If I was single then things may be different.
I have no problem with people having spare time as long as they have realistic job goals and expectations.
