this post made me laugh from that thread...It will have done, but as we well know, governments typically underestimate the effects of such large crises. If these resets hit harder than expected, its going to have a massive effect on the market, due to the change in sentiment. You cant have the head of the IMF talk about economic inflexion points to then say 'we are back in the mire' without the markets taking a massive hit, LIBOR especially, not to mention global equity values. If this truly blows up, like I believe it will, its going to set back the global recovery by 2-3 years.0

and they're doing this just because of the Alt-A's right?
here's your thread from a year ago making a fool of yourself... claiming no green shoots and we were all doomed

Nice dodge of the question. So, tell me, if everything is a bed of roses, why are they not marking to market, and do you agree this is against internationally agreed BASEL II regulations?
They are doing this due to the horrendous writedowns resulting from not only Option ARM, but also Subprime (smaller problem) and ALT-A. Lend to people without a means of paying and you go broke. I dont need to be a rocket scientist to prove that (although I did study it at Uni).
Yeah, I am buying, at significant Below market value. you wouldnt get a sheet of single ply tissue paper between my @!!!! cheeks, do you think I am going to get nailed over the singlemost important financial transaction in my life?0 -

Lovely, another avoided question.
Thought they were making a comeback.

'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

? Says the man taking a £200K mortgage on his first property?
I'll toot and wave as I overtake your 60mpg oil burner in my 911.

Ha ha! Fair one.
Enjoy vehicle excise duty won't you when it goes up through the roof for all you evil polluters? Whats the point of having a car that can do 180+ when the limit is 70?
Unless you actually have a really really small penis? (Millimetre willy?)
You could actually be hung like that guy off boogie nites, Who knows?0 -

As you've presumed wrongly that I am elderly, wrongly that I am in negative equity and now wrongly that I am a man I am actually glad I am not hung like Dirk Diggler or I would have a serious medical condition.
If you can afford a 911 (cash) you don't worry about road tax - I've got a 4x4 too - neither will be going regardless of what the Goverment does VED wise.0 -

I would prefer the 4X4 tbh. Only if it had an open canvas back and a low range diff though.
What does a cambelt change cost on that thing (911)? Do you have Laodsaaa Manney and are your Significantly richer than Meee?
Not saying I cant appreciate the engineering, I can, just couldnt justify spending big bucks on it.0 -

The mileage has never got high enough to warrant a cambelt change. Warranty is £1200 per year, servicing another £700, Set of Tyres £1000 before you tax and insure it or put any petrol in.
You are the one spouting about your £70k income, £100k deposit(December 09) & saving £5K a month - yet only at £105K in March when you should have been at £115K. As you brag about how 'wealthy' you are yet I am better off than you and probably the same age (and a woman just to grate) I will retaliate. As I said before in response to your bragging / foul language posts there is always someone better off than you (in this case me) - its just that they are usually discreet unless provoked by being called a 'cockmunch'.0
