I think if you really didn't want that fourth child you would have ensured you didn't. It comes as a shock to all of us whatever stage in life, how many you already have, or your age.

Just give yourself a little while to get used to it, you're hardly old these days and are already an expert.

other peoples opinions dont matter! only yours does! if you and oh and the kids are happy then everyone else can button it! and tell them so! no-one has the right to comment on the size of your family - we dont live in China! and if the grandparents arent happy - then say 'fine, I wont bring this one round to yours then'. bet they will soon change their tune once baby is born!

Whatever you do, or don't do, there's a certain kind of person who always has something to say.

Especially when it comes to kids - "they" always know best. I get rubbish because I don't have any! "They" tell me I'm not getting any younger. So if I have a baby I'll start getting younger?!

Who gives a !!!! what they think???

Glad things are progressing well with your pregnancy. :)

Just thought I'd update as I never ventured near the thread since I first posted. :o

I'm now 26 weeks and despite feeling really tired this past week all is going well. We are happy about things as are the kids.

My parents on the other hand, well lets just say I'd have got a better reaction had I said I was running off with the milkman, moving to another country and leaving the kids behind. I also get rude comments from many a person about the number of kids we have, how OH should have the snip and about our age. That is their problem though so I ignore them.

Thanks again for the support when I first found out. :)

Blooming heck, many are only just contemplating starting a family at your age.............. If anyone feels the need to make a comment re your age or family size, just look at them completely straight faced and simply say "how rude" turn on your heels and walk away.

I have 3 DS's age 23,8 and 6 months. I had the youngest 6 days before my 42nd birthday and he has brought our family so much joy and happiness.
His big brother's absolutely adore him and manage to get a smile from him when nobody else can.

PMSL.. I had number 9 last week... My repertoire of half-joking ways of telling interferers to mind their own and do one is growing by the day..

What car do you have.. an Indian train (you have seen those pics with people clinging to the outsides and on the roof)
Have you figured out what is causing it .. yes, and I am very very good at it!
Have you got no tv? .. yes .. we watch P()rn.. and the children watch Disney while we play tents!
Are you stopping now?.. No.. he is AMAZING... :p

    Any more? lol...

Brilliant as long as you and your family are happy who cares what others think. It makes me laugh that when it comes to having and raising a family everyone feels the need to express their opinion even if you don't want it !!!
    You enjoy your lovely family.
