Thank you everyone for your posts, it has been really helpful.

Belfastgirl, I'm still using the buggy part of the travel system for my 2 year old. In saying that it is rare it is actually used. Yes indeed I always sort of thought I'd have another one. I never really thought that my 3rd child was my last.

I'm most distressed about the cot I gave away a few weeks ago on freecycle. I almost feel like emailing the guy and asking if I can buy it back off him. :rotfl:Of course I know I can get one from friends, freecycle or whatever but something about that cot is just getting to me. This is despite the fact I have given away bouncy chairs, bumbo, baby walker, moses basket baby bath, highchair and just about everything else. The irony is that I was waiting on OH getting the travel cot out of the roofspace this weekend so I could freecycle it. :rotfl:

We are both happy about the baby but still really surprised. OH is on my back for me to make a doctors appointment. You'd think after 3 babies he would now that these things are only a formality. :rotfl:

I'm lucky that my nearly 7 year old has always been keen for the 2 year old to share her room when she gets older so that will free up the 2 year old's room when the time comes.

Just thought I'd update as I never ventured near the thread since I first posted. :o

I'm now 26 weeks and despite feeling really tired this past week all is going well. We are happy about things as are the kids.

My parents on the other hand, well lets just say I'd have got a better reaction had I said I was running off with the milkman, moving to another country and leaving the kids behind. I also get rude comments from many a person about the number of kids we have, how OH should have the snip and about our age. That is their problem though so I ignore them.

Thanks again for the support when I first found out. :)

oh ignore the comments hun. i've only got 3. my eldest was 4 when our 3rd was born and we got comments like, oh don't you have a tv, or Are you trying for a football team ? Shouldn't have 3 as your middle child will have middle child syndrome and your being unfair.

I did find it upsetting at first as we were so chuffed. but in the end i learn't just to ignore the comments as we were so happy about it. And our lil family is just perfect. i love it.
