I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Oh, even more well done. It's changed partly, but not everywhere. :)

TBF WW2 ended a long time before the reparations had finished!

I thought *technically* we were out of recession? (I'm not really keeping up ATM)...for now at least?

I always thought economy would have covered it really.....it covers every scenario and means they don't have to keep chopping and changing....

Well as the economy doesn't cover spending I guess it's not covered at all really.

    No.

Or more exactly, the last recession is over, viva the next recession. I give it less than a 18 months before we have the next recession, if the politicians actually do what they say they will.

This is what you might call, an "election recovery":D

But we might as well make hay while the sun shines.

A long winded double dip then maybe ??

On the streets I walk down I would say absolutely, it's over....still a bit of catching up in places, but, on the whole, over.

Of course it all depends what street you are on but I do London, Brighton, Leicester and 2 places up north and, although it's just personal anecdotal....things seem to be ticking over OK.
