Not made it myself yet but have been served it and it was delish
Strangely enough I ended up making pear and almond cake, without even seeing your post! I never thought of caramelising the pears first though, which sounds yummy - I'll have to try that next time.Back after a very long break!0 -
Try pear and ginger crumble its amazing! Stew the pears with some sugar and ground ginger plus some sultanas (or something similar) and top with crumble mix.0

A bit late but here's mine for the week:
Tuesday: Bangers and Mash w/ LO stuffing
Wednesday: Home-made bruschetta with tuna and mozarella bake
Thursday: Vietnamese chicken (inspired by Champys) and sweet chilli chicken with sticky dirty rice
Friday: chorizo and sun-dried tomato pasta
Saturday: Falafel in wraps with salad
Sunday: Chicken roast dinner and trimmings
Lunches will be mostly be LO soups for me and sandwiches, wraps and salads for sons.
I also have a load of fruit pots in fruit juice and fruit and jelly from an Approved Food order for desserts. But I am going to attempt to make Frumenty and perhaps Marchpane after reading a book about 'long ago' food. More of an Easter holiday project with the boys rather than for meals.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
